The Futureheads' guitarist Ross Millard has selected the line-up for the third annual Split Festival which takes place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September 2011 at Ashbrooke Sports Club, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

The Drums
The line-up chosen by Split's Music Programmer includes The Drums, Dutch Uncles, BEAK>, and We Beat The System on Saturday, and The Charlatans, Frankie And The Heartstrings, Hyde & Beast, Leatherface, and The Dauntless Elite on Sunday. Plus many more are to be announced over the coming weeks.

Additional fringe tents hosting comedians and acoustic artists will also be put in place, as well as the gourmet tent hosted by BBC Masterchef finalist Stacey Stewart providing Split's festival food.

Early bird tickets are on sale priced at £35 for a weekend ticket, and £20 for a day ticket. To buy tickets, click here.

The third Split Festival is expected to be held under cover in a massive marquee at Ashbrooke Sports Club. It's main aim is to give a platform for North East musical talent. The event this year will be a true "Festival of Music" rather than a collection of gigs.
