Gruff Rhys, and Bellowhead lead the first acts announced for Oxfordshire's Truck festival.

Super Furry Animals
The first raft of acts announced for the fourteenth Truck festival include Gruff Rhys who will close the Truck Stage on the Saturday with his only UK festival main stage headline slot. The Super Furry Animals frontman will be performing tracks from his warmly received recent solo offering, 'Hotel Shampoo'.

Truck's very first ever Friday Truck Stage headliner will be Bellowhead. The band performed last year at Truck and walked off with the hearts of the audience, many of whom cried "get Bellowhead to headline" when asked what they'd like to see next year.

Preceding them on Friday, Simone Felice and Robert 'chicken' Burke will bring their soul-country ensemble The Duke & The King from Woodstock, New York, with Fixers also confirmed to appear on the main stage.

Appearing on the new second stage will be St Etienne, Johnny Flynn, John Grant, and Cherry Ghost.

Other acts announced today include Trophy Wife, Jonquil, Chad Valley, Caitlin Rose, Marques Toliver, Treefight for Sunlight, Marcus Foster, Jonny, Richmond Fontaine, and Dreaming Spires, with more acts to be announced shortly.

Truck Festival is growing this year becoming a full three day event (Friday to Sunday) and increasing capacity from 5000 to 8000. Taking place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July at its regular location of Hill Farm in Steventon, the site will be expanding too with a whole host of new features including a brand new major stage, label takeovers and improved camping areas.

Truck is one of the UK's best and longest standing independent small festivals, a village fete meets Woodstock with a cutting edge musical policy, free of any sponsorship or corporate agenda. Held in family friendly, safe and secure surroundings overflowing with entertainment, it's about music, community and being outdoors.

An adult weekend ticket (including 3 nights camping) is priced at £99, a young person (aged 13-17 years) weekend ticket is priced at £79. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A minor (aged 0-12) can attend the weekend free if booked in advance. All under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A car parking ticket is priced at £8 adv / £15 on the day, with a campervan ticket priced at £40. To buy tickets once available, click here.

There's also a SuperTrucker ticket available offering entry to both Truck, and it's smaller sister Wood (Braziers Park, in Oxfordshire from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd May 2011) at a discounted rate of £170 for adults, and £120 for juniors (13-17). To buy a SuperTrucker ticket, click here.
