Wild Beasts, John Cale, and The Horrors lead the first raft of acts confirmed for Field Day, which takes place at Victoria Park, London on Saturday 6th August 2011.

Wild Beasts
The first wave of acts announced are (in alphabetical order) Actress, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Thecocknbullkid, Ducktails, Electrelane, Factory Floor, Gruff Rhys, Hype Williams, and Jamie Woon.

With John Cale, Konono No1, Mark Kozelek, Matthew Dear, Mount Kimbie, Omar Souleyman, Oneohtrix Point Never, Pearson Sound, Roska, Sun Ra Arkestra, The Coral, and The Horrors also confirmed.

Also confirmed for the London bash are Tortoise, Trophy Wife, Twin Shadow, Wild Beasts, and Willy Mason. With many more acts to be announced over the forthcoming months as well as details of the Village Mentality area.

The summer event brings together many of London's alternative concert and club promoters to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London's heartland. Music is the main driver but it also aims to have the charm of a village fete.
