Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye have been confirmed for next year's Isle of Wight Festival.

Oasis
The ex-Oasis will bring his new project Beady Eye to the Isle of Wight Festival 2011 on Sunday 12th June, as special guests of headliners Kasabian.

Beady Eye, comprising of Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, are set to release their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' in February 2011. The band gave fans a taster of what's to come, making 'Bring The Light' available as a free download earlier this year and now become a much anticipated addition to the Isle of Wight Festival line up.

Kasabian's singer Tom Meighan told the Daily Star recently, "Liam came to my room about three months ago and put it on a little stereo and you know I'm just buzzing for him. He's really done something different from Oasis so I'm really pleased he's getting out there. His album's fantastic and its not Oasis any more, it's Liam's band. I support him all the way with that. I don't think he cares (what people think), he just wants to make music."

Kings Of Leon will headline the Friday, Foo Fighters and the reformed Pulp appear on Saturday, and Kasabian closing the festival on Sunday, with The British Pink Floyd Show headlining the Big Top on Saturday, and The Manic Street Preachers on Sunday. Other acts include Tom Jones, Jeff Beck, The Script, Plan B, Public Image Ltd. (PiL), Cast, Hadouken!, Nick Lowe, and more. This year the Isle of Wight Festival celebrates its 10th birthday from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th June 2011 at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.

Tickets are selling very quickly for the event. Weekend Camping Tickets are now only available from ferry companies Red Funnel and Wightlink. The price of an adult ticket without camping is £150 and £75 for children (aged 7 to 12 years). All children 6 years old and under on 10th June 2011 can go for free but must still have a ticket. Campervan permits were priced at £250 (all occupiers must also have a valid camping ticket) and have already sold out.
