Foo Fighters are the third headlining act to be announced for the Netherlands' Pinkpop Festival.

Foo Fighters will headline the opening night of Pinkpop with Kings of Leon headlining Sunday, and Coldplay headlining the day before. Popular Amsterdam-based band Go Back To The Zoo are also confirmed to appear.

Pinkpop Festival is an annual rock festival held in the city of Landgraaf, 134 miles from Amsterdam, near the city of Heerlen and situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, Netherlands. It is held annually on the Whitsun weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name), the 42nd edition will be held from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th June 2011.

The festival has a capacity of 60,000 and three days of music on three stages. Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed and tickets are not yet on sale.
