Scouting For Girls have announced a woodland date for next summer as part of the Forestry Commission Live Music programme taking place in the region at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire.
Fronted by the exuberant showman Roy Stride, Scouting For Girls' eponymous debut album generated a clutch of hits, including 'She's So Lovely', 'Heartbeat', 'It's Not About You' and 'Elvis Ain't Dead', all becoming regular fixtures on radio playlists across the country. 2010 has seen the release of their second album, 'Everybody Wants To Be On TV', continuing the form of the first with more pop anthems like 'Famous', 'Don't Want To Leave You', 'Take A Chance On Us' and the chart topping single 'This Ain't A Love Song'.
Scouting For Girls will be performing the show on Sunday 19th June, tickets will be priced at £28, and go on sale at 9am this Friday 17th December and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences, and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.
