plus early bird tickets at 2007 prices on sale Wednesday

Foo Fighters have been revealed as the first headliner for Ireland's Oxegen festival next year.

Foo Fighters headlining set at Oxegen will give Irish fans a first taste of material from their upcoming seventh album. In a recent interview revealing the first details of their new album, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said, "I want to play the album at night live in front of people. It's a festival album because it f**king rocks!"

Oxegen are releasing a limited batch of early bird saver tickets at 2007 prices from this Wednesday, 15th December until Friday 31st December and eFestivals will have links to buy them then. Tickets can be secured with a €100 deposit and then pay the remainder over a further two instalments. General sale tickets will go on sale March 2011.

Tickets are priced at €179.50 (full price €199.50) for a 3 day NO camping ticket or €199.50 with camping (full price €224.50). For an extra €20 fans can purchase a 4 day ticket including camping which includes the Thursday also.

Ireland's annual three day multi-stage music festival weekend offers festival favourites, big name international acts and a variety of musical styles held from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July 2011. The festival returns to Punchestown Racecourse, Naas although there are rumours of a possible move to a new site.
