Biffy Clyro have been confirmed for next summer's Sonisphere at Hertfordshire's Knebworth House.

Following the final show of the sold out UK arena tour, it has just been announced that Ayrshire trio Biffy Clyro will play an exclusive headlining set at next summer's Sonisphere Knebworth.

The band, are the second group to be confirmed for the festival, alongside Slipknot and will headline the Saturday night of the event set to take place in July 2011.

Weekend tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 10th December 2011 and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.

Sonisphere takes place at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire from Friday 8th until Sunday 11th July 2011.

The event has one main arena with a stage at either end of the site, as well as a few smaller stages. The two main outdoor stages, will have around a dozen acts alternating between one stage and another to keep the music continuous, whilst not having two acts playing at the same time.

Next year Sonisphere will once again go on the road, touring Europe, visiting countries throughout Europe including Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy (new), Poland, Finland, Bulgaria, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, France (new), although there is no visit to Romania announced.
