Coldplay are the first act to be announced for the Netherlands' Pinkpop Festival.

Coldplay will headline Pinkpop on Saturday, no other acts are confirmed.

Pinkpop Festival is an annual rock festival held in the city of Landgraaf, 134 miles from Amsterdam, near the city of Heerlen and situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, Netherlands. It is held annually on the Whitsun weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name), the 42nd edition will be held from Friday 11th until Sunday 13th June 2011.

The festival has a capacity of 60,000 and three days of music on three stages. Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed and tickets are not yet on sale.
