This will probably be Slayer's only show in Sweden this summer with a full setlist, since the band will be given an evening slot with at least 90 minutes of stage time.

This year's line-up also includes W.A.S.P., Suicidal Tendencies, Nazareth, Bachman Turner, Danzig, Magnum, Opeth, Behemoth, Rick Springfield, RATT, Anvil, and Alestorm, and Steel Panther.

Other confirmed rockers announced are Stratovarius, Y&T, Raven, Saga, Mother's Finest, Aldo Nova, Sabaton, D-A-D, Unisonic, Jorn, Watain, and Bigelf with many more to be confirmed.

The heavy rock festival returns to the northern town of Sölvesborg in Sweden from Wednesday 12th until Saturday 12th June and has reduced in size from 35,200 to 33,000 visitors. Four day tickets with camping are priced at 2390 kr (approx £204), children aged under 13 have free admission as long as they are in the company of a parent/guardian.

There are charter flights, as well as rail links to Sweden. From Stockholm there are transfers to Sölvesborg airport, and buses running to the festival from both the train station and the airport.
