Sweden Rock Festival, the heavy rock festival returns to the northern town of Sölvesborg in Sweden from Wednesday 12th until Saturday 12th June 2010.

Line-up

This year's line-up will include headliners U.D.O on Wednesday, Aerosmith on Friday, and Guns N' Roses, with Billy Idol, Slayer, Gary Moore, W.A.S.P, Suicidal Tendencies, Nazareth, Bachman & Turner, Cinderella, Danzig, Magnum, Opeth, Behemoth, Rick Springfield, Ratt, Anvil, Stratovarius, Y & T, Raven, Saga, Mother's Finest, Sabaton, D-A-D, Unisonic, Jorn, Watain, Bigelf, Alestorm, and Steel Panther, the line-up is now complete. The NEMIS (New Music In Sweden) Stage will see performances from Hellspray, I Am Hunger, Lou Siffer & the Howling Demons, The Murder of My Sweet, Sarah Gave it Up, Mama Kin, Generous Men, Faithful Darkness, Salvation Serenade, In Mourning, C.B Murdoc, Inferior, Maim, Malum, Moloken, Syconaut, April Divine, Urbandux, Omnispawn, Lemon Bird, Lesra, Sarea, Mascot Parade, CellOut and Switch Opens.

Tickets

This year's Sweden Rock Festival has reduced in size from 35,200 to 33,000 visitors. Four day tickets have sold out and were priced at 2390 kr (approx £204), children aged under 13 have free admission as long as they are in the company of a parent/guardian.

It is free entry for children under 13 years of age in the company of a guardian, although it the festival does not recommend that infants attend. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

The camping site will again be located approximately 900 meters from the festival area, west of Norje village. The Camping sites have different zones which are divided by fire breaks. Tents are not permitted in the fire breaks and will be removed.

Note

Furniture, mattresses etc are not allowed at the camping sites, however regular fold up camping chairs are. No vehicles are allowed at the camping sites, and any kind of open fire is forbidden, there are marked areas where festival goers can cook.

Alcohol and glass bottles are only allowed outside the festival area, there are bars in the arenas. Plastic bottles must be empty when entering the area, there are water post to fill them up in the arena.

Getting there

There are charter flights, as well as rail links to Sweden. From Stockholm there are transfers to Sölvesborg airport, and buses running to the festival from both the train station and the airport.
