Richard Hawley has been abbounced as the supporting act for Shirley Bassey at this year's BBC Electric Proms are on sale now.

Richard Hawley will support Dame Shirley Bassey's only live performance of the year by opening the show at the Roundhouse on Friday 23rd October. The show will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2, with highlights broadcast on BBC Two. Richard will be performing tracks from his upcoming album 'Truelove's Gutter', which is due to be released later this year.

The line-up includes the previously announced Metronomy, Florence and the Machine, Doves with The London Bulgarian Choir, Magazine, Dizzee Rascal, The Heritage Orchestra, The Young Punx, and Smokey Robinson with BBC Concert Orchestra. The BBC Electric Proms festival will take place from Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th October 2009 at The Roundhouse and various venues around Camden, London. The idea for this event is to allow artists to perform something a bit different, whether it be a performance of rare tracks, a unique collaboration or a cross bridging of genres.

Tickets for Robbie Williams, Smokey Robinson, Doves, and Dizzee Rascal, concerts have all sold out.

All successful applicants will be randomly drawn, there is a maximum of two tickets per household. Please note that the minimum age is 16 for both the ticket holder their guest.
