Thom Yorke has been announced as a special guest at next month's Latitude Festival.

Radiohead
The lead singer of Radiohead will be playing a solo set on the Obelisk Arena at noon on Sunday with a rare solo performance. In 2006 Yorke released his first solo album, 'The Eraser', which received a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.

Melvin Benn, Managing Director, of Festival Republic said, "There is nothing I can add that Thom Yorke's confirmation doesn't already say. That it is a special one off performance for Latitude only fills me with enormous pride at the statement it makes about the festival. I am overjoyed at the thought of it."

Yorke joins an extensive bill of acts headlined by Pet Shop Boys on Friday, Grace Jones on Saturday, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on Sunday. Other acts playing over the weekend include White Lies, The Pretenders, Flashguns, Squeeze, Mew, Ladyhawke, Teitur, Bat For Lashes, Spiritualized, Magazine, Newton Faulkner, Doves, Editors, Gossip, Turin Brakes (acoustic), Belle & Sebastian (DJ set), Music Go Music, Hjaltalin, Little Boots, Band Of Skulls, Yes Giantess, Sugar Crisis, Dear Reader, Catherine A.D., Jonathan Jeremiah, Alan Pownall, First Aid Kit, Sound Of Guns, Golden Silvers, Slow Club, Post War Years, The XX, Pulled Apart By Horses, Joe Gideon & The Shark, Dag For Dag, 2 Hot 2 Sweat, The Late Greats, and The Chakras.
