Teenage Fanclub announced for Indietracks

headlining Sunday on the Outdoor Stage

Teenage Fanclub have been confirmed as the Sunday headline act on the Outdoor Stage at this year's IndieTracks.

Scottish power-popsters Teenage Fanclub hail from Belshill near Glasgow, and formed in 1989. They are best know for the albums 'Bandwagonesque', 'Songs from Northern Britain', and 'Grand Prix', with the latter leading Oasis singer Liam Gallagher to call them "the second best band in the world". The band are currently working on their ninth studio album.

Camera Obscura are also headlining the Outdoor Stage, which this year is being curated by Madrid-based indiepop record label Elefant Records as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations. Emmy the Great is to headline the Indoor Stage, and Au Revoir Simone, and Teengage Fanclub will also headline.

Other confirmed acts include Butcher Boy, The Manhattan Love Suicides, Help Stamp Out Loneliness, BMX Bandits, Lucky Soul, The Frank & Walters, The School, La Casa Azul, Cola Jet Set, Cooper, Nick Garrie, Single, Speedmarket Avenue, Tender Trap, and Fitness Forever. This, the third, Indietracks festival, is being held at the Midland Railway in Ripley, on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. The site houses a whole range of restored steam and diesel locomotives. Festival goers are allowed to have unlimited rides on the steam railway over the weekend and full access to other railway attractions including a farm and museum.
