Organisers of this summer's Sonisphere festival have announced the main two stage day splits for their respective line-ups, which include three more 'special guest' slots, which are still to be announced.

Metallica
Playing Saturday on the Main Stage will be Linkin Park, Heaven and Hell, Coheed & Cambria, Fear Factory, Taking Back Sunday, and Special Guests.

Sunday's line-up for the main stage is Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, and Killing Joke.

Joining Bullet For My Valentine on Saturday on the Second Stage will be Airbourne, The Used, Anthrax, Special Guests, and Skindred.

Headlining the Second Stage on Sunday are Avenged Sevenfold, with a supporting cast of Alice In Chains, Feeder, Thin Lizzy, Special Guests, and The Sword.

The event will have one main arena with a stage at either end. As well as Metallica, who top the bill on the Sunday with a full two-hour set, there are 18 confirmed exclusive festival appearances and over 30 acts playing. There are also acts confirmed for the Bohemia Area, with further additions to that line-up expected soon. For the line-up details as available, please click here.

Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50, or £157.50 with camping. Lockers are priced at £10, and parking is also £10 in advance or £20 on the day. And early arrival camping entry ticket is priced at £10, and tickets for camper vans are priced at £40.

Entry to the festival will now be free of charge for under 12s. Parents should purchase their own tickets and then take their child with them to the Box Office on arrival to be issued with a complementary wristband. Please note that proof of age may be asked for. Sonisphere has abolished booking fees for ticket buyers and is issuing refunds to fans who have already paid out for them. There is also a package deal for tickets which also offers the new Guitar Hero: Metallica game.

There was also a deposit scheme where £40 per person paid now secures a weekend ticket order. The full balance of a deposit ticket plus any extras such as car pass, lockers etc must be paid by Tuesday 30th June 2009.
