Comedian Noel Fielding has been added to the line-up for this year's Big Chill.

The Mighty Boosh
Having appeared at the Big Chill last year, in a headline appearance on the main stage with his The Mighty Boosh team, Noel Fielding will return solo this year with his nonchalant chaotic stage show.

Katrina Larkin, festival director for The Big Chill, said, "We're pleased to announce Noel Fielding is coming back to perform at the festival this year. His solo stand-up show sits perfectly with The Big Chill's reputation for unpredictability and intrigue."

Noel will join already announced comedy acts Dylan Moran and Russell Howard on Sunday afternoon at the Coop for a side-splitting triple header.

The Big Chill which happens on Friday 7th until Sunday 9th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire offers both families and ravers a diverse range of music including folk, jazz, African, dub, and unique collaborations; as well as art, films, poetry, cabaret, kids spaces, comedy, and literature.

The musical acts confirmed for 2009 include Basement Jaxx, Orbital, and David Byrne, as headliners, with other acts including Gong, Lamb, Magistrates, Alphabeat (DJ Set), DJ Derek, Ska Cubano,Friendly Fires, Norman Jay,Wonky Pop, Ludovico Einaudi, Calexico, Horse Meat Disco, Pharoah Sanders, Favela Chic Soundsystem, Alice Russell, John Hegley, and Summer of Dub.
