The Human League have been announced as the latest addition to the line-up of Newcastle's Evolution 09.

The Human League

Ebony Bones
The North East's biggest music event will also have Ebony Bones, Detroit Social Club, and Little Comets appearing during the last May Bank Holiday weekend.

Festival director Jim Mawdsley commented, "The Human League are a major coup for us and remain hugely relevant to today's music scene. Many of the acts playing Evolution this year have been influenced by them and will be proud to be sharing the same stage. We're also thrilled to have two additional local bands joining Stockton band The Chapman Family on the bill – all three are fast gaining national and international acclaim and it's great that we can showcase their talents here in the region."

Weekend festival tickets have already sold out, and day tickets have gone on sale today and are priced at £9.50.
