Weekend tickets for the 6th Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, which will take place at Belladrum Estate, by Beauly, Inverness-shire on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August 2009, will go on sale online from 9am tomorrow (1st October).

Advance prices for weekend tickets for 2009 have been held at this year's price of £80 with adult Saturday tickets priced at £50 (plus postage and booking fees) with children 12 and under can attend for free. eFestivals will have links for you to buy tickets online tomorrow.

Belladrum Tartan Heart has also introduced a new 'On-TICKet' scheme which allows buyers to pay a deposit to secure their tickets and then the balance by Friday 1st May 2009.

Festival co-director Joe Gibbs said, "Families with kids at home and mortgages are among the hardest hit sectors in the current economic climate. Many of our audience come from this sector and our On-TICKet scheme is designed to help them." He added, "That said, I'm sure the Scots were the last people off the dance-floor at the Duchess of Richmond's Ball before Waterloo and no economic crisis will curb our natural propensity to enjoy ourselves."

There are no acts yet confirmed for 2009. The first acts are likely to be confirmed sometime in the spring.

Belladrum offers plenty of interest aside from the music, including an array of entertainment for children. Attractions include street theatre, cabaret, cinema, dance, alternative therapies, stalls, food and drink.
