Napton Festival which was due to take place at Holt Farm, nr Napton on the Hill, Warwickshire this Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September has had to be cancelled by the organisers at the last minute after a site inspection has revealed the site is covered in standing water.

The festival's website (here) states:
POSTPONED

Due to an overnight deluge of rain the festival site and car park has become unusable.

The organisers apologise for this but it is beyond our control.

We will update the website with further information as soon as possible.

Regarding the Festival - Please DO NOT ARRIVE on the 12th or 13th September.

This was due to be the second 'Festival of Music' at Napton and was due to have twelve hours of music on offer over two stages. A wide range of music was promised featuring Bad Company headlining Saturday, The Ripps, and Jilted Generation playing on Friday in the Marquee. The headline band for the Marquee Stage would have been Aynsley Lister. Other confirmed artists included Shanade Morrow, The Hats, Craine, Fulibulbus, Sean Rumsey, So 77, The Rooters, and Doctor 10.

Other festivals due to happen this weekend are not reporting any similar problems and are going ahead without any problems.
