Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th August 2008St Arvans Field, Chepstow Racecourse, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, England MAP
£90 adult, £99 with camping; Children £15 camping £30; Kids£4 camping £5
The new site is at Chepstow Racecourse on the Welsh borders at the bottom of the WYE valley from the original Herefordshire site. The racecourse is a green field site with great parking and access, and with the added bonus to the bank holiday Monday of a race meeting!
For those heading to the festival from near the original festival site at Much Marcle, they'll be a coach service running on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for those in the Ledbury / Much Marcle / Ross On Wye areas.
As a result of the move the festival is to lose one of the planned marquees, but the headline and majority of other artists will still be appearing on two stages instead of three.
The line-up confirmed for the new site features Woodstock headliners Jefferson Airplane (Starship), the UK debut of the legendary Quicksilver Messenger Service, American superstar Steve Cropper of Stax, Booker T+MG?S & Blues Brothers fame, the full original line up of Curved Air, and Welsh icons Cerys Matthews and Mike Peters. For full revised line-up details please click here.
The Festival entrance can be found on the A466, mid-way between the Racecourse main entrance and the village of St. Arvans, approximately one mile from Chepstow town centre. The site is huge, totally flat, is entirely within the secure walls of the Racecourse grounds and has designated site access roads. Chepstow is on the major London to Swansea train line.
Tickets for the original Much Marcle event are still valid for use at Chepstow.
