The Great Escape, held in over 25 venues within Brighton City Centre happens from Thursday 15th until Saturday 17th May, have announced more acts for 2008.

The acts are Mancunian dark electro-pop band The Whip, folk-indie rocker Jeremy Warmsley, London boys Royworld, ska and rock fusion act The Bad Robots, Australian indie pop four piece The Boat People, Glasgow indie scenesters The Dykeenies, art rockers These New Puritans, and Wolverhampton's Yelps.

Previously announced acts for the festival line-up include No Age, Public Service Announcers, The Black Lips, The Teenagers, The Wombats, Wild Beasts, Young Knives, Black Mountain, Tunng, Fujiya and Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School of Langauge, Lightspeed Champion, Torngat and Wintersleep. Early bird tickets are on sale, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days. Tickets will need to be exchanged for a wrist band. As well as the live music at various venues throughout Brighton, the festival also has a number of "Parkinson" style interviews and seminars with luminaries from the world of music and media who impart their experiences.
