One Night Only, The Subways, and more artists announced

The Great Escape, held in over 25 venues within Brighton City Centre happens from Thursday 15th until Saturday 17th May, have announced more acts for 2008.

The acts are Monobright, Iron and Wine, Born Ruffians, Broken Mirrors, Ipso Facto, Beat Union, Mother Mother, Ida Maria, Team Waterpolo, Ebony Bones, The Black Angels, The Hold Steady, Canterbury, Crystal Castles, Johnny Foreigner, Glasvegas, White Lies, One Night Only, The Subways, This City and Yeasayer who join the previously announced acts for the festival line-up are Young Knives, Black Mountain, Tunng, Fujiya and Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School of Langauge, Lightspeed Champion, Torngat and Wintersleep, No Age, Public Service Announcers, The Black Lips, The Teenagers, The Wombats, and Wild Beasts.

Early bird tickets are on sale, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days. Tickets will need to be exchanged for a wrist band. As well as the live music at various venues throughout Brighton, the festival also has a number of “Parkinson” style interviews and seminars with luminaries from the world of music and media who impart their experiences.
