Ireland's Oxegen festival, which takes place at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co Kildare now as a 3-day festival from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July, has confirmed the first act for next year - Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon were voted the band that Oxegen go-ers most wanted to see, and responding to this Kings of Leon have now been confirmed. Further acts are expected to be announced in February.

'Early bird' tickets will go on sale this Friday 30th November, with these tickets available at the same price as 2007 - €197.50 - and getting three days for the price of two. If booking four tickets, there's also a free car park space available for every four tickets booked, and Thursday camping available for an extra €20.
