Festival Republic, who run the Reading & Leeds festivals as well as the newer Latitude have teamed up with C3 Presents who run the Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits festivals to launch a new festival in the USA, called the Vineland Music Festival.

Taking place from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August in Vineland, New Jersey, USA, the Vineland Music Festival claims it will be "a weekend of pure unadulterated rock’n’roll pleasure; the signature stamp of Reading and Leeds, Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza. Complete with a heady mix of the greatest bands in the world, energy charged sets; new rising stars and the freshest acts hitting the stages before the press have had a sniff of them. Three days of amazing music combined with acres of lush, green campgrounds".

No further information is known at this time about Vineland Music Festival. When acts are announced we'll bring you the details.

This is the second attempt that Festival Republic (formally Mean Fiddler) have had at launching a festival in the USA. Earlier this decade in 2001 they announced the launch of Reading Festival in the USA, although it was cancelled and didn't go ahead.
