Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Albert Hammond Jr, & Tinariwen for Latitude

Latitude which takes place at Henham Park Estate in Suffolk from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th July 2006 have announced more acts.

Headlining the Uncut Stage on Saturday night are the fast-fingered, Dublin-based Mexicans Rodrigo Y Gabriela, while Stokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr will also play on that stage.

Also joining the bill are BBC Award for World Music winners Tinariwen, bring their unique fusion of Toureg folk songs with electric guitars to Suffolk.

Giving some of the best up and coming acts the chance on a festival stage, Latitude also has 23 year old Irish born folk/rock/jazz singer Wallis Bird and Manchester-based singer songwriter Karima Francis.

They join the musical line-up which has Damien Rice headlining the Friday, The Good, The Bad And The Queen headlining on the Saturday, and Arcade Fire headlining on the Sunday. The other confirmed musical acts so far are Jarvis Cocker, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Magic Numbers, CSS, Wilco, The Rapture, The National, Midlake, The Gotan Project, Patrick Wolf, and Explosions in the Sky.
