Transglobal Underground added to Big Session Festival

and 3 Daft Monkeys

Oysterband's Big Session Festival, which takes place over the weekend of Friday 15th to 17th June at De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester has added two more acts, and confirmed the day splits for the bands.

Newly announced are Transglobal Underground, who'll play on the Saturday, and 3 Daft Monkeys who'll perform on the Friday.

The full day line-ups are as follows:-
Friday: Alabama 3 (acoustic & unplugged), Waterson : Carthy, The Mekons, Martin Stephenson, 3 Daft Monkeys, and Colvin Quarmby.
Saturday: Oysterband, Show of Hands, Tunng, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Transglobal Underground, Rachel Unthank & the Winterset, Kris Drever, Lisa Knapp, Instinkt, Swill, Jon Redfern, plus Lunchtime Sessions.
Sunday: Oysterband, Flook, Rory McLeod, Whapweasel and caller Gordon Potts, plus Lunchtime Sessions.

Tickets are on sale, with Weekend tickets costing £60 for the three days with free camping (Kids 12-15 yrs £15, under-12s FREE), and day tickets costing £25 for the Friday, £35 for the Saturday, and £15 for the Sunday.

The Festival is set in De Montfort Hall and Gardens with live music across three stages: the main auditorium, a marquee stage and informal session. As well as camping, food, real ale and crafts, there will be a designated area for family activities suitable for children of all ages.
