By Neil Greenway | Published:

The Isle of Wight Festival which takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th June 2007 has announced the first acts, including the Friday and Saturday headliners.

Confirmed for the Friday are headliner Snow Patrol, plus The Feeling.

Confirmed for the Saturday are headliner Muse, plus special guests Kasabian, Amy Winehouse, Ash, and Arno Carstens.

For the Sunday the headliner is still to be announced. Acts so far confirmed for this day are Keane, as well as The Fratellis, Paolo Nutini, and James Morrison.

Wolfmother are also confirmed, tho the day isn't given. More acts - including the Sunday headliner - will be announced over the coming weeks and months.

Festival promoters Solo said: "Bands love coming to the island and feeling the tradition. Tennyson was right about it's magical quality."

Muse said: "The past year has been truly amazing for us and performing live is what we’re all about. Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played the festival back in the 70’s. It’s steeped in history and we cant wait to be a part of that."
