Oysterband's Big Session Festival, which takes place over the weekend of Friday 15th to 17th June at De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester has announced the first acts for the line-up, and put tickets on sale.

The confirmed acts are Oysterband, Waterson:Carthy, Show of Hands, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Rory McLeod, Rachel Unthank and The Winterset, Kris Drever, Whapweasel, with more to be announced over the coming months to play on one of the three stages – Indoor, Marquee & Informal Sessions.

As well as the music, the Big Session Festival has FREE camping, real ale, food & craft stalls and children’s activities.

Tickets have gone on sale today, priced at just £50 for weekend tickets bought before Wednesday 31st January 2007 - a saving of £10. Kids aged 12-15 yrs cost £15, under 12 are FREE. There's FREE camping for weekend ticket holders only. Call 0116 2 333 111 to book, or buy online.
