The Isle of Wight Festival which takes place from Friday 9th June until Sunday 11th June 2006 at Seaclose Park Newport, Isle of Wight is now officially sold out. Tickets have been hard to find for a day or two, and now a message on the festival's official website says that all tickets are gone.

Event organisers Solo said "It's fantastic news, we're over the moon and would like to thank everyone involved for their support over the last 5 years, this really does put the Isle of Wight firmly on the festival map".

The line-up includes The Prodigy, Placebo, Goldfrapp, The Rakes, and The Upper Room on the Friday, Foo Fighters, Primal Scream, Editors, Dirty Pretty Things, The Kooks, and 747s all on the Saturday, and Coldplay, Richard Ashcroft, Lou Reed, Maximo Park, and Kubb on the Sunday, with some more acts still to be added.
