The Big Session Festival, which takes place over the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June at De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester has announced more acts for 2008.

American country rocker Steve Earle, his wife country-blues singer Alison Moorer, and west country fiddling genius Seth Lakeman are the latest additions to the line-up.

They join a bill which includes Oysterband, Bellowhead, The Handsome Family, Cara Dillon, Devon Sproule, Kila, Lau, The Troubadours, Hey Negrita, and Vincent Vincent & The Villains. More acts will be announced soon.

The Big Session Festival has sold out every year so far! A limited number of reduced price early bird tickets are on sale until 1st March, or earlier if all sold. They're priced as follows: adult £55; children 5-15 yrs £20; camping pass (per tent) £5. To buy, call the box office on 0116 2333 111 (online booking coming soon).

The Festival is set in De Montfort Hall and Gardens with live music across three stages: the main auditorium, a marquee stage and informal session. As well as camping, food, real ale and crafts, there will be a designated area for family activities suitable for children of all ages.
