I am in the same boat this year as my mate can not make it so it will be a different experience. If I help you put up your tent will you help me with mine?

My mate can't make it this year so in a weird kinda way, i am loking forward to the whole "solo" experience...
Setting up my tent, watching the space around me gradually disappear, sitting and drinking a cider and watching the world go by whilst smiling and say hello to complete strangers.
Is there anywhere else in the world where you can be quite so content..?
I'll be in the red tent if you want to say hello...!!

Only been since 2008 so for me it has to be Verve - Lucky Man.
One of my favourite songs and when they played it on that Sunday evening, i was literally transported away. Actally, i think the volume of cider i had consumed had something to do with that feeling but for me, it was a magigal moment.

2011 will be my first year solo after 2008 with my brother and 2009/2010 with a mate who can't make it next year. I remember reading lots of previous "solo" posts and i think the key messages are to be positive, to talk to people and to smile!!

Evening everyone!
Here was my day - just in case you were interested...
07:30 - haircut in Bath (the place not the tub)
09:30 - tattoo re-colour in Bath (excellent but painful job)
11:30 - drive from Bath to Nuneaton to watch my local football team in a league palyoff final - they lost 2-1 after extra time (next year lads)...
18:00 - drive home
19:00 - stop on M5 at strensham services and got scammed (i now realise) by a woman claiming to have lost her purse and phone. it was only loose change (aboiut £3) but what a mug!!
Note to self - do not get ditracted by flowing blonde hair etc...
21:00 - home with chicken curry and 4 pack of beer (weekend treat)
