Saw the Vaccines in what I think was the Williams Meade tent on Sunday arvo at 3pm. Was a result as I missed them first time round.

The infinite monkey cage with Brian Cox and Robin Ince was brilliant.
There is no universal now
Free will is an illusion
Multiple universes / the multiiverse
Time is granular
The universe was a knobbly beach ball
were amongst the concepts frying my addled brain that morning

I met them too. £250 to a security firm, put on high viz jackets, bussed in and dropped off. They were having a great time.

On Saturday night we got chatting to a couple at Arcadia, they said that they'd paid a dodgy "firm" £250 to get them in to the festival, neither of them had wristbands on. They reckoned they were shipped in on a bus with 28 others and that there were up to 10 of these buses an hour bringing people in illegally.
Not sure if they overstated the scale of it, but It seemed a lot more crowded this year and we heard of a lot more people getting their tents robbed (both of us had commented on this before chatting to the couple). If there was that kind of operation going on, it would have explained things..
Anyone else think it was more crowded than previously (not including 2000 though)?

+1 to Addicted, the solar charging in the Greenfields is brilliant, no queues, no hassle and lovely people

The top of Pennard's Hill was pretty much full by 10am last year, we managed to get the last scraps of grass to pitch on. Was pretty much taken by volunteers who had got there before gates opened, rather than taking their allocated camping areas (can't help finding this a bit cheeky).

I take a couple of 2 litre plastic bottles and a funnel in a small pack. Fill them up with brothers festy strength cider and deploy as necessary

Pneumatic tyres are a must, anything else won't be able to hack the terrain.
I've been using a fishing trolley for the past 5 years or so, it's served well under ridiculous conditions..
Although I am tempted to upgrade to a garden cart - the Robert Dyas one linked earlier looks like a bargain.

I added that line to my hosts file and got straight through and booked 8 tickets
Your hosts file forces a domain name to resolve to a particular IP address, this cuts out the overhead of doing a DNS lookup and also means your targeting a particular server rather than a pool of servers. I realise this explaination probably still sounds like techno mumbo jumbo.

There was a fairly constant flow of pint glasses full of amber liquid in the air. After the queues and prices at the bar, I'm willing to bet it wasn't alcohol.
Awesome gig though, never thought I would get to see them live. That's a life ambition happilly fulfilled

I got to my favourite spot at the top of Pennards Hill at 10am last year to find it literally full of crew tents. Most of them looked like they had been there for days with camp fires and even fencing rigged out of firewood. I reckon I got the last available spot.
I was a bit peeved after getting there as early as possible after queuing for the gates to open.

Me too
Cheers!

Wow, what inspiring vids, I'm a little ashamed to say I'd never heard of Jack Hargreaves or Out of Town before...
A mate and I started pressing our own cider last year, in fact we cracked the first barrel a couple of weeks back and were surprised how good it was! 6.4% of pure Dorset awesomeness:)
We made around 250 pints last year and are hoping to up production this autumn if we can find some more orchards nearby.

I dislike how a lot of the BBC coverage was in isolation of the actual festival itself - having their own sterile, atmosphereless private stage area for bands to perform "exclusive" sets - this goes against the grain for me. The interviewers should be backstage, interviewing the musicians when they are breathless and high from their performance, or they should be in the pits at the front getting involved. All in all, the BBC coverage is way too sanitised and doesn't really get to the heart of the festival.

Breakfast at the Buddhafields cafe is the only way to start the day.
Had a fantastic goat curry at one of the caribean joints - really hot and delicious. I'd never eaten goat before and this was like the most tender and succulent lamb I'd ever tasted with a bit of a twist.
Pieminster was some goood pie, specially the Bloo Moo.
Had some awesome Japanese street vendor food in The Park - was like a japanese version of bubble & squeak with cheese, fried on a griddle mmmm...
Henry's beard spanish tortilla in the greenfields was amazing too.
All in all, too much incredible, unique and delicious food to mention

No moaning from me, that was one of the best 5 days of my life
To quote Stevie: "Why don't all you haters drink some Hateraide and die!"

Best : The interactive multimedia rap show thing we got involved in for an hour in the UnfairGround
Worst : Holy F**k were so disappointing in the Queens Head after what I'd seen from them before, hope they were better in the JP
-
Joint Best: Shaking hands with Bez in the acid house tent / watching two lads crowd surfing in a paddling pool during Faithless
Worst: Catching a girl with her hand in my pack while walking along the railway track late on Friday - what a dick.

Snoop wasn't that high on my list of priorities either but he smashed it. One of the best sets I saw

Tbh, swivel wheels sounds like a nightmare. The terrain is pretty varied and the metal walkways are ridged so you would probably shake yourself to pieces. Also, how well do you think those wheels are going to swivel when they hit mud?
Can you post a pic of it?

I bought this one today: http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9686783&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=trolley&fh_eds=%C3%9F&fh_refview=search&ts=1277159177290&isSearch=true
Seems like a good one to me, strong and durable with big tyre wheels!

Sounds like Wednesday morning is going to take a bit of careful planning.
I think I'll stick to the west carparks to avoid the campervan ratelimiting (good way of putting it that).

Nololo is a spambot.
They have got a lot more sophisticated recently and re able to autocreate accounts and intelligently bypass Capchas.
Good ones can appear to be a lot more human than this one though.
2017 Ticket Sale

Got through and got tickets at 9:30.
Was trying 4 different networks, (EE 4g, O2, private proxy and Virgin Media) Virgin Media won by a country mile with no blanks and constant refreshes, the other 3 had issues.
See Tickets servers are hosted on the virgin media network which probably helps.
