Hoping to meet friends and camp next to them. How likely is this going to be that we find space?
Also, I've heard you can pretty much drive in and unload? thats brill.
Im just used to Glastonbury etc where you have to trek miles and its just madness and crammed full.
-
So they dont open the campsite until 10am on the Friday then? Thats well weird.

20-30 mins queue for the toilet. What are you going to do? Piss yourself or piss up the hedge?
In the campervan fields the toilets werent emptied on sunday night/monday. In our field there was 1 out of 10 cublicles usable. What do they think is going to happen?

My Mrs has got fibromyalgia and we never bothered before. But this year she had a knee op 4 days before.
So I emailed and they said fair enough. Had none of the stuff they asked for. Initially they asked for a letter from hospital but I filled in the form and told them I'd send the letter but had the stuff before I sent it out.
Cracking it was to be fair. Well worth it if you've got mobility problems.

What on earth is a shit table?
Edited :-)

Shit tablets are essential. 59p in B&M bargains but if I remember correctly £5 for a box on site. Better than shitting yourself though. Which is a strong possibility in glasto!

Friends of ours went down last night and ended up right at the back of E15 (i.e. miles away!).
Dunno if they are filling from the back or what?
They tell us E15 is looking pretty rammed at the moment. Hoping to camp by them.

Looks like we got disabled car park ticket on its way. Fair play to Glasto they been great about it.
-
Due to recent events, Glasto have been good enough to send us a disabled car park ticket. We've already paid for a normal car park ticket.
Do you need both or is the disabled car park free anyway for elligible people?
If so, guess its too late to return car park ticket?

Mud last year = no chance with wheelchair lol.
-
Gutted - its going to be too hot to sleep in the tent!

Yes for west you walk throught the campsites then theres a gate to get into campervan field which they wont let u in.
East is different. You have to walk through east to get to the gate from car parks so its no problem.
West is awful Way too far to walk.

Aye cheers. Have emailed them. So we'll see...

Wife not permanently disabled so probably wouldnt count. Also, I think its too late to register.
BUT, shes havng a knee op so may be on crutches.
Thinking of hiring our own scooter? Assume glasto will allow us in with that?
Also, what about disabled platforms? Or do they check disabled pass or something? May not want to use but I understand they do have plug sockets? Scooter be useless if we can't charge it.
Anyone else done similar?
Otherwise, its going to be very difficult to cope :-(

I would contact the disabled team, they are really helpful. Might be able to hire a wheelchair/scooter?
Looks like missed the deadline for this. One option is to hire our own scooter maybe? Not sure how'd I'd charge it. though.
I guess people who are officially registered have access to charging points.

Ouch! What sort of knee op? I had a partial menisciotomy a couple of years ago, and whilst recovery was quick I'm not sure i would have contemplated Glastonbury so soon after. Can the op be put back until after the festival?
Not sure yet - may be just a washout or what you said. Apparently makes a difference.
Thing is shes waited AGES for this op.

Worth a tilt. Although I see disabled stuff is just for permanent things - which is fair enough.

Bough my wellies for £5 from farm at side of road last year. 2nd hand.
3 sizes too big mind....
-
Just bought a mega powerful one off amazon. 20000 or whatever that is. Cost £20.
Apparently good for 5-6 iphone/andorid charges. And its got three outputs if you want to share.
Seriously considering taking a crap phone this year. Managed to bend/crack my Samsung S6 climbing into tractor (before getting caravan pulled out) last year.
And a 'smaller' phone will need less charge.
-
Wouldnt qualify for disabled anyway I guess since its not permanent (and too late anyway).
Not even sure if we can do anything. She'll probably be on crutches so might be ok to take it easy. Unless theres mud like last year!
We've got insurance (if it covers it) but dont really want to cancel...
-
Sorry to disappoint you all but I'll probably be there next year. Just not west campervan!
