people just see the main stage at glasto and think its rubbish.
where theres so much more.

I've found that there's been a lot of talk about Reading and Leeds just because they've got The Libertines! They're probably the only band that I'd really want to see if I went to Reading. And let's be honest the reliability of Pete Doherty is questionable.
V certainly has more of my sort of music. I like a bit of indie/rock but then the more poppy stuff such as Scouting for Girls and Mika I also enjoy.
When I first saw the TITP lineup I thought it was veery strong just because of Muse really. But compared to last years lineup, it's pretty shocking. Eminiem? If I was there I'd certainly be missing him.
Considering Glasto is 40 I'm a bit disappointed with their bookings. BUUT I'm pretty sure they'll surprise us.
All in all V is the one for me this year.

I'm cool.
Well that's what my mum told me while I was listening to the kooks and Razorlight.
"mum, where's my skinny jeans".
-
Dont watch him if he plays f..k off somewhere else maybe go to the kids play area.
-
Not much chance of them playing....they split up in July this year.

Ive only just ended saying my hatred for robbie Williams on another thread.
Now it's a Bon jovi thread. O god when will the nightmare end.
We might aswell have robbie, bon jovi, u2 and Bryan Adams all playing.
Or u can just go to a cheesy night club (jumpin jaks) and hear all there songs anyway.
But on a positive note I can always go to another stage. So it's not all bad.

You've obviously got a problem with the guy, and you've got every right to your opinion. But you're going OTT mate. We've got the picture now - no need for you to keep going on about it.
You see - there are some people who don't hate the bloke. I understand that forums are all about opinions etc, but if you go into a thread hoping to hear some sort of constructive argument for or against the bloke (or even some solid rumour from a respected source) they don't want to hear yet more inane prattle from someone who blatantly has some sort of issue with him, so much so that the thread has often been de-railed as a result. You're not being constructive. At all.
Anyway, with that out of the way, I would like to actually COMMEND you on your tastes in comedians. Lee Mack is excellent. I too laughed at the Robbie Williams bit. I do have a sense of humour believe it or not....

'nuff said.

can i do it for you before i go off to see him? please!!!

Sales of Angels suggests millions disagree with you. He has already contributed a lot to music. You may not like it or think it worthy, but he's contributed. If we were to discount all music that was pointless, we would discount all music.
Get your head from up your pretentious arse.
Can't stand him myslef mind.

Relax and count again, Robbie is not my style at all but I am big enough to admit that Angels is an absolute classic anthem
-
Quite a fan of Underground Heroes, always put on an energetic live show! there on myspace i think if anyone wants to check them out,
Also really like Ou est Le Swimming Pool, they were at Glasto this year but they are really good!
-
the cribs are one of the best live bands i've seen. i'd love to see them at glastonbury. wasn't sure about the new album at first but it grows on you after a while, it's just so different to their other three albums.
-
Obviously uv forgotten about Rudebox! Hahah : ) x x
Would love a bit of Robbie thou... Madness slot from this year would be great i think
-
Only song I'd be there for is Angels, other than that I can't really stand him.

I had my guilty pleasure last year when I watched EAST-17 and STATUS QUO it was bloody brilliant.
But if I could have an act next year it would be PHIL COLLINS. (Yes I do actually like him, sussudio is a quality song, FACT!!!!!!)
Or S CLUB 7.
-
I still blame them for that thunderstorm though!!
-
Sorry for the Daily Mail-esque headline, but...
East 17's Thursday night Glasto set was so bad, God bombarded us with a thunderstorm of biblical proportions (which ruined my hat!), and then killed off Michael Jackson (which ruined my visit to the O2)! Nice one Brian Harvey. Proud of yourself?! We now know the consequences of making God angry with sub-standard, teeny-bop pap!!
Lets be honest though, who thought the Michael Jackson thing was another typical Glasto rumour? Cos its normally Cliff Richard who dies during Glasto!!
**FOR THE RECORD, EAST 17 WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF MICHAEL JACKSON, BUT I DO BLAME THEM FOR THAT THUNDERSTORM!**

The TV highlights were v v v disappointing and I have to say nothing like the festival I have just returned from !
What I mean about V being about the music, is there is not a lot else to do .. plus there was plenty to choose from apart from 'radio' one music !
Amongst others I caught
King Blues, Vagabond, One EskimO, Bens Brother, Jet, Starsailor, Human Leaue (yes they were awesome), The Enemy, Killers...I didn;t see any of the acts you list above (apart from when I watched the TV coverage when I got home).
I avoided the Dizzee Rascal, N Dubz etc etc ... but each to their own. I found plenty to do and keep amused..... it's just not in the same league as Glastonbury but has it's place
