  1. Morning all. Haven't been here for a while. Trying for tickets for the whole tribe this year. Then need to find the cash for a campervan and convince the missus that she needs Glastonbury in her life. Listening to Glastonbury Song to get in the zone. Best of luck everyone. Hope to be there for another scorcher!

  2. How busy was it last year on Wednesday? My first Glasto in 2010 it was a nightmare, but I hope that was because of the football. I went to the meet, was a bit over-awed though. Was with my brother-in-law Colin, and next year we'll be adding my 15 year old son to the group. He's going to be blown away :-)

    Oops. Double post!

  3. How was it on Wednesday last year. My first Glasto was 2010 and I assumed Wednesday was rammed for the football. Was it any easier to find a camping spot last year? Was with my brother-in-law, Colin last time, will be with him and my 15 year old son next. He's gonna be blown away :-)

  4. Plastic foil sheeting pegged to the tent gave me an extra hour or so before I had to get up or melt in 2010. Didn't get tickets last year. Did for 2013.

    NFRNFC!!!!!

  5. I think Pennards was done, I found an iPod on around 4am Saturday morning (Rosa or Rosara - if you're reading this it's with lost property!)

I spoke to a couple of people near the tents where I'd found it and they'd handed in a wallet with Rosa's name on it and said there was ID with other names too.

The same night my OH heard someone opening our tent so shouted at them, they said "I'm looking for John" and disappeared. Our tent was pretty unique looking - it had a massive space blanket over it - I doubt this was a "mistake"!

We were about 20 meters from the watch tower (G1 in Pennards) and I saw a few people today handing in bags & wallets, also the lock up crew have said loads of wallets were handed to them, so anyone missing stuff should contact Lost Property :)

  6. I regret spraining my ankle slipping on the dewy grass in the park around 2am Sunday morning looking for the rabbit hole (probably in totally the wrong place). I'm still limping now. And it got infected, my whole leg swelled up and I needed a course of anti-bionics to shift that.

Also, being too old to stay up past 3, missing the sunrise, and not being lively enough to really get into bands.

Slash was great though, even though I was hobbling in pain and couldn't jump up and down.

Other than that, my first Glasto was a blast. I've dreamt about it every night since!

  7. I saw 5 or 6 police arrest 2 guys and a girl in the stone circle and marched them off in cuffs carrying a small carrier bag of something. Everyone booed :(

  8. I'll be up at 5am to leave at 6am. Google Maps reckons about 4 hours. I'm hoping to get there, get in, tent up and in front of the pyramid stage by 3pm. Come on England!!!

See you all there. My first Glasto at 37 and can't wait.

  9. I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to pour the 75cl bottle in to the 1 litre plastic bottle that I'll be decanting the red wine boxes into (after I've drunk the still frosty white obviously), and squeeze the air out before I freeze it, leaving room for expansion. A bad physics A-level's got to be worth something ;)

Oh, and do you know? I've never had a Brother's Cider. I expect that will be remedied pretty early on.

  10. 6 litres of Tesco red wine, a frozen bottle of white (in a plastic bottle), 11 cans of Stella (1 succumbed to freezer explosion, so the 11 will be chilled as they can be but will probably be gone by the end of the football. After (and during) that, it's whatever else I can lay my hands on. If anyone's got anything to spare, I'm happy to pay my way B)

  11. I've broken the back of a 12 hour shift, one more tomorrow then packing for an early start Wednesday. 189 miles for me. First Glastonbury, in fact first festival. Actually starting to get a bit scared  I'm 37 for Bob's sake!!!

See you in CT everyone :D Then we can win the football! B)
