  2. On the Thursday, 2013? I was there, it was an immense start to my music that year.

I really done remember. I remember it raining and the tent being rammed. Was the first time I had seen them, then I got to work with them for 3 weeks recording an album in my studio. I now sound tech there UK tours and soon (hopefully) European ones. Great guys, if you ever see them after a gig chat with them, very interesting people.

  3. Heymoonshaker may yet appear. Blues and beatbox. They played a venue i helped run with John Fairhurst. Best show we ever had.

    John is a must see.

They arent playing this year. I am there sound tech so would have got in with them. Did you see them play in that tent near the glade I think a few years ago, joined by John? Im off to London now to do sound for them at the blues kitchen, any london folk should come along.

  4. I can confirm that they are working on new material. God knows when it'll be done, from what I've been told 3D can take quite a while getting things how he likes them. Daddy G is definitely writing stuff with them but I think they do a lot of work seperately. My mate has heard some of the new stuff and says its amazing. Hopefully I might be able to get a sneak at some point.

  5. so a random girl and a guys were shagging in your friends tent, with another guy pissing while they did so? and they were all strangers? so they picked a tent at random to do the deed?

    on smelly sunday?

I dont know how to feel about this.

The guy pissing outside was obviously having a post shag pee. I dont know if they were strangers to each other but it definitely seemed that way to me. I'm just glad it was only a hat they left behind.

  6. I've never been robbed at Glastonbury, I am pretty careful. But, on Sunday evening last year we were popping back to our tents when I saw a guy taking a wee near by, I commented on his possisioning and he looked a little shadey. I then saw someone come out of our friends tent. I grabbed his wellies and started shouting at him and my other friends surrounded him. The guy who was previously weeing then pipped up and said, "wait, wait mate, we weren't robbing your tents, we were just shagging this girl" A young girl then exited the tent to which we all let them know how bloody discusting this was (it was Sunday night, I mean, do it on the Wednesday or Thursday and not in my mates tent but not the Sunday). They left a hat behind so we had the last laugh. Pretty grose.

  7. Sorry to hi-jack,, flying in to Bristol tomorrow, then staying in Bath for the night.

Can you recommend any good pubs?

the bell on Walcot street, probably the best pub in Bath. Also a very small pub called the little green tree, cant remember the name of the street its on but its very good, especially if you're an ale drinker.

  8. Spent most of my time in the green fields, avalon and west holts which seemed good to me. I noticed a lot of hipsters but like has been said they were all concertrated to one area and certain acts. Something really needs to happen about the litter, black list peoiple caught dropping it. Its really not hard to pop it in a bag till you find a bin. PIsses me off.

  9. There are likely to be two ales at most of the bars -- judging by past experience -- and if that's the case, definitely try both. They're likely to be good.

People have very different tastes, and it would be wrong of me to guess at yours. My mate Gary is as keen on beer as I am, yet when I gave him a bottle of my favourite Punk IPA, he thought it was revolting. Too hoppy, too alcoholic, I'm guessing.

If you have enough time spare, get to the real ale tent by the Acoustic tent, and work your way through a few, going by the descriptions on the blackboard.

As a noob, I'm not sure whether you're going to know what words like "hoppy" etc. mean, and I'm not going to try and describe them here. But you should get a feel.

If you do this, start with the weaker ones, and potentially work your way up. Not only does this mean you don't get w*nkered too quickly, but also it means you don't hammer your palate with strong tasting beers so you can't appreciate the weaker ones.

On the other hand, it's Glastonbury, not a beer festival. There's nothing wrong with finding one you like, and sticking to it.

If you're interested at all, a real beer festival is a very worthwhile evening/day out. They're not as full of weirdy-beardies as you might fear, and you get to try a load of beer, reasonably cheap. If you do this, I suggest drinking halves. It might feel a bit wussy, but you get to taste twice as many beers, and when even small festivals can have 20 or more to try, that's a good thing.
