  1. Hello all,

I couldn't find anything about this on the glastonbury site or anywhere, sorry in advance if this has already been asked, but does anyone know when the buses start on Wednesday morning?

The official site quite helpfully says when the last bus on Monday goes but not when the first one does, some friends are responsible for pitching our tents and I want them to try and get on one of the first buses from the drop off point onto the site.

  2. I mainly go for comfort, last year I wore the same shorts and bikini top all week. This year I'm thinking of getting a few dresses and I've got some feather head bands to go with that, going to get a Pikachu hat for £3 off ebay (I will never grow out of it), got a really flamboyant shirt with this trippy jungle scene on it and silver sequined leggins. Need a get a few more things and I am set, very excited!

  3. I loved Coldplay, the first two albums are just amazing, the last 2 have some alright tunes one. The main thing about them for me this year is cause last time they played was the year my mum couldn't come so me and dad went to see them together, we usually go to Glasto as a family so it was hard so this year is a nice make up for that for my mum at least.

That being said we were also going to see U2 at twickenham that year with her so we're all seeing U2 together this year to make it up and I'm taking back the year I was dragged away from the Chemical Brothers in the middle of "Out of Control" by them in search of the "Glastonbury Moment" at Oasis. No surprise, Oasis were awful, their sound was crap and we all regretted it. Well not this year!

It will be a damn shame to miss something like Yellow or Clocks or something but I've waited too long to see the Chemical Brothers at Glastonbury.

  4. At the moment it's mainly been KT Tunstall and the Chemical Brothers, but I haven't made my Glasto playlist yet. With exams and all it's really hard to listen to anyone playing cause I get too excited and can't work haha

  5. I don't bother with make up, maybe a dash of eyeliner but otherwise not really, particularly with all the sun last year my skin actually came back much healthier, with a nice tan too :D

As for the glass, I don't think it's much to do with what the glass contains, it's the glass itself, like if someone was to use it as a weapon which is unlikely to happen at Glasto but I guess they want to avoid any issues.

  6. Bad -

I know it's been said, Zane Lowe, he is such a prat, the whole time I saw him doing the coverage last year he was wearing this bloody hood up with his hands in his pockets, I swear, like he was completely unbothered about what he was doing, I like to see enthusiasm!

    Good -

The last day of coverage when they pick a song and show snippets of the whole festival, in '04 it was Hey Jude and last year it was "You Got the Dirtee Love" with Florence getting up with Dizzee, always makes me feel emotional but in a good way, like warm and fuzzy and nostalgic.

  7. I got all off my camping gear already, going to get booze and food on a closer date but I'm planning on getting clothes and other fun things out of the way this week.

Need a smallish bag that can fit things I need to carry with me that stays securely closed, the bag I used last year just about fitted most of my things but it had those magnetic buttons and they would pop open a lot.

And want to get some comfy shorts and dresses so I can pack light.

  8. The crepe stand in the green fields is amazing, strawberries and cream on a pancake, also manic organic is said to be good for breakfasts according to my parents. Also went for a wonder one morning and near the pyramid stage there is a really lovely fresh fruit stall, had a nice big slice of watermelon. Yummmm

  9. Last year was my first time properly drinking at the festival and I think I just stayed up long enough to sober up so the hungover never hit.

Tea from the 50p tent on the way to the stone circle on sunday night probably helped a lot as well.

Saying that, a few days after I got back I was throwing up all night and felt like shit, I hadn't had anything unusual to eat since I got back, so I assumed it was my body clearing the glastonbury damage out of my system, was not good.

  10. On my way to getting pretty merry, laughing and generally being happy about being there and have no more school and potentially exams, ever again. Oh the win it will be, bares not to think about as I sit here in front of my far from complete Art sketch book and millions of history notes.

  11. first time i went, 1994, it was in the middle of my GCSEs. for the life of me i couldn't tell you what results i got, or what many of the subjects were.

  12. How long to provisional licenses take to come through? I should probably apply for mine cause I'm not fond of the idea of bringing my Passport to the festival.

  13. I sat on £10 in coins ages ago once at Glasto, I was with 11 or something silly and I was with my 'rents and my little cousin I think. cause I was sitting next to her I was made to share it.

Also apparently one of my cousins mates brought £500 rolled up in cash and lost within an hour of entering the gate, he couldn't find it anywhere and was freaking out and my aunt suggested going to lost and found just incase... and some absolute saint turned it in!

And my now ex-boyfriend had a nack of finding money, his best one was with me when I asked him if he wanted lunch but he said he couldn't cause he had no money and just as I was saying I'll pay for him he bends over and picks up £10 and says "never mind! I'll buy lunch" was excellent.
