I think they should go for a long ticket sale, 8 hours random amounts of tickets at times.
    Really reward persistence

I used to always get tickets when it took hours to sell out, I think it was close to 2pm one sunday when I got them.  It felt like your persistence was rewarded.

I live a different life now since discovering the joy of a pop up tent and solar shower.

Fresh cold shower every morning and it's like everyday is my first day at the festival, hangover and dirt washed away together

My thought on being clean at Glastonbury is you will notice the smelly people more.

What happened the green police they used to have that went round blowing whistles etc. at dickheads pissing in the bushes?

Haven't seent them in a long time

I used to enjoy them kicking about, it was always fun watching them target people in a fun way when someone did something wrong.

  4. I've not had a chance to see as many performances as I normally would over the weekend, I usually work my way through most sets but don't really have the time to watch much over the next few weeks.  I'm wondering what's everyone's must see sets on the iplayer?

You just know that the BBC are going to show THAT song about 15,000 times over the weekend!

Wouldn't surprise me if the security people do a dance routine to it as well - can't see them doing it to Yusuf/Cat.

    You guessed right.

I can’t see the pyramid stage or the screens cos of the flags .

    Jesus, enough! They are awful.

and I not normally thus grumpy 😅 But they are a scourge on the festival 🫣

I had that issue last tiime I was at Glastonbury, it was good when there were only a few but the amount now must spoil it for thousands of people.

This, 100% - I’d have no acts on Wed. / use for exploring site then Thursday go full scale….Thursday is an odd half-measure at this point that ends in disappointment for most if there is something actually worth seeing.

Re-work the license & get the main stages going….toothpaste is kind of out of the tube at this point….locals aren’t going to be 1% more hassled if….the Park Stage has live acts on Thursday.

I'd stop having big names on the Thursday as it turns into a nightmare a lot of the time.  Maybe have one or two of the big stages dedicated to BBC Introducing or or something along those lines, give some more bands a chance of exposure.

  8. I'm not going yet again, I did about 8 Glastonburys in a row but this is the 7th year in a row I've not got tickets.  Well done to all those that secured tickets I'm so jealous.  Even though I can never seem to get tickets I can't think of a better way to distribute them fairly.  I did seem to get them when it took hours to sell out because it felt like I was always rewarded for my perseverance.

Somebody should just get a big ol external hard drive and pass it around to folks who want certain things from it and it can keep getting added to. Obviously a private server with everything thats avail would be ideal but aint no way somebody wants to risk hosting it. Or just create a few Mega accounts with lots of storage to send links to. Or a private tracker to torrent.

I'm in a few Bootleg pages on FB were we share stuff via Mega and other services.  Maybe someone could set up a Glasto Bootleg page, I have loads I could share but also have a lost quite a bit due to a hard drive failure.

Does anyone know where you can get iplayer sets from previous years? I seem to have had a bit of a catastrophic backup failure and it's looking like I've lost all the files from 2019, 2017 & 2013 😒

I had the same problem lost a lot of my Glastonbury sets I had saved on a hard drive.

  11. Thanks everyone, I've been on this site for years but not one for commenting much, I have enjoyed reading the comments whilst watching Glastonbury on TV most of the weekend.  Having not been unable to get tickets since I was last there in 2015 having this forum helped with the FOMO I once again had because I could not go to the festival, for me it is the best place on earth.  I'm now looking forward to working my way through all the sets on the iplayer, shame there is not much BBC Introducing this year but you can't have everything.

What an absolutely disgrace bringing politics to this venue, climate change with the child from hell and Ukrainian actor, michael Evais what a disappointment you are, people come to get away from all that shit, you utter sale out is there nothing you won’t do for money, demand your money back people.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  13. I met Mike Barson out of Madness and watched a bit of Nick Cave with him, danced with Keith Allen during a Blockheads set in the Rabbit Hole, saw a few celebs about one was Tom Chaplin struggling with a push chair in the mud but he was going in total wrong direction to me or I would of offered help. Another one was one of the lads out of Dick & Dom at the other stage, I spent the whole set (can't remember who it was playing" trying not to shout "Bogie" as I imagined a situation like Victor Meldrew in Farther Ted.

  14. Absolutely loving the coverage this year, this is the first time I've managed to follow the live stage streams which helps make up a little for not being there.  My memory is crap but it seems to me the Park Stage has a lot more coverage that it used to.  I saw some brilliant sets there in the past main one being the secret gig by the Last Shadow Puppets when they first came out.

  15. As someone who never got a ticket this year,  I can't see a fairer way to get tickets than what is already happening.  Every system mentioned so far has a downside.  Because demand is higher than the number of tickets available people are going to lose out.  Fingers crossed I am lucky in then re-sale next year.

  16. I have BT infinity 2 which is superfast and I got nowhere near site in computer but on phone I got the holding page.  I never got any tickets this year so absolutely gutted thinking I might have to have a holiday abroad next year.

  17. First time in 9 years I have been unable to get tickets and I'm devistated, I never even got near a holding page the whole time they were onsale.   I won't say seetickets are useless as I can't see a fairer way to sell tickets as demand is so  hight.  Well done to everyone that got tickets and I hope you have an amazing time.
