Nice thread.
My list includes...
- If your staying at marinador - an extra E40 for a weeks shuttle pass
- A sunhat with a pouch inside the roof - provides shade and a good place to smuggle smiley faces
- If youve got the space - a normal towel (for the salty sandy beach) and a travel towel to feel clean for more than 2 minutes when you come out the shower.
- anything that keeps drinks cool, unless you like warm drinks of course.
- A pen knife, for making cheese and tomato baguettes with.
- Common sense, spontaneity, a good taste in music and £100 more than you need in your bank account.

2 pals of mine have today definatley ruled themselves out of coming, ive been on at them for bleeding ages!!
now the flight prices are sky high and the travel on my lonesome seems why too daunting
i'd be well up for roadtrippin it if someone has a spare seat?! obviously i'd more than pay my own way
i just know if i dont make it i'll forever regret as my fave bands are headlining
any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!

How come you paid so much for them? I paid under £330 for my 2 from See (basically never use seatwave, they're pretty much a tout site and you have to pay way over face value)
We've got camping tickets and I think we've booked a hotel, would need to check but if anyone else is after camping tickets, we might be up for swapping if you buy 4-day non camping tickets for a straight swap.......have 3 altogether x

I believe in fairness so im swapping my camping ticket with someone who needs it (as I had already arranged an appartment) for no extra cost.
I don't understand why people are so greedy in this planet, we are all humans and we all appreciate kindness so reciprocate those deeds you love so much. Radio 1 djs sometimes jump on the random acts of kindness bandwagon but wtf - why the hell arent we all kind in the first place!? I don' consider my actions kind, just common sense and anyone who is seeking to make any money whatsoever is part of the system that is screwing this planet anti-clockwise till it will one-day implode just as its already starting to. I ask you all to join freecycle, couchsurfing, look at e-parliament.net, join greenpeace and stop being such introverted profit seeking individuals...welcome to planet community.

I'm no expert on beni, ive only ever been for a day/night but like anywhere in france/spain/italy you pay through the nose for beer + its at a festival so essntially your paying out your arse for the stuff. Mind you if you bake yourself during the day you shouldnt be drinking too much at night or else you'll join the army of oasis louts in the emergency ward at the local hospital. As for the campsite and supermarkets, I don't know im afraid, but the day is definitely sacred for sleeping when you consider the festival is only winding down post-6 am.
My conclusion pills are cheaper and encourage you to drink water - Perfect...so long as some good DJs join the line-up alongside laurent garnier!

P.S. Do not spend 660 Euros on accomodation - you could be robbed three times in a campsite and you'd still be better off by my maths!

The best way to travel is not to prepare then the only thing you have to prepare for is not being prepared...if you catch my drift.
Really, trully, I challenge you to hitch hike to the festival, not to book a thing, and I guarantee you will have the best time meeting the kindest most open people...provided you don't bump into an oasis 'fan'.

Anybody got any educated guesses as to how long i should give myself to hitch from toulouse to benicassim? I'm reckoning on three days, alternatively if anyone wants to save a few pounds and offer me a pre-ordained hitch from perpignan pour example that would be top-banana. Any suggestions, wise words, and 'good luck you hippy waster' comments much appreciated.
Finally, when does the camping start from? is it tuesday?

This is the first economic downturn the incredibly inflated european festival scene has had to deal with! Does this explain a very lame looking exit and rather tame looking benicassim? im no economist but my guess is that in order to make the margins the organisers are slashing the big names, am i right, i dont know...get chatting.

OK i am worried now, i have been for the past 3 years, and they have never offered a ticket for four days without camping before. I have bought a ticket, 2 months ago that says four day admission, but says nothing about camping! have i messed up and bought one without camping access? it has a face value of £162... it doesnt say whether it does or doesnt have access?

me's got very happy suspicions that cut chemist himself will be touring the european festivals (he's doing some gigs in france in mai) this summer - touch wood he will scratch and break one night away at benicassim.

Excited about joe crepusculo kings and franz!!!very happy
BUT
oasis (i hate) and maximo park (i dont mind, but...) doesnt this smell fishly like a repeat of a few years ago, all they need is a poo performance from hot hot heat and the oasis bottom-lickers kasabian to come along along and youve got a night from beni 2005 or 6 i cant quite remember! but this is bad - they should try harder to be more inventive - take a few leaves out of sonar's book

We're all between 23 and 26 in our 5some. Be happy, only the young ones are worrying so those are the ones on this forum a week before it starts. I'm more worried about Oasis fans.
