I don't see the point in talking up the advantages of reading's 'nightlife' because, come on, it's reading town which isn't going to blow anyone away.

I prefer the new place by far. The arena feels so much more spacious, and you seem to (oddly) get a better view from far back.

The leeds ones were awful. Girly blue and orange with curly yellow writing. Over 18s bands were pink too lol.

Because the majority of saturday's main stage acts didn't suit Leeds' general audience. I only saw the Offspring, saw bands in the tents the rest of the time.

Not really discoveries for me, but Tom Vek and Foster the People were brilliant.

It's bad to hear so many people had a bad experience. I had a brilliant time at Leeds, saw 25 bands and not one was bad. I thought the crowd was decent and didn't see any trouble at all. Friday's rain was miserable though!

Tesco for the past 3 years (at least) have sold 24 can cases for a tenner in august bank holiday week. While it might not be £10 this time round, I reckon they'll do it again. I'm definitely just gonna wait for the week.

I've seen Gorillaz do Demon days live and in order which was pretty awesome.
I'd love to see Kasabian do their first, self-titled album in full because I only saw them once when they were touring it.

i am sceptical about it though for a few reasons:
Since when was first announcement that comprehensive? The alternative stage is usually announced a few weeks before the fest and full main or nme are never there to start with and FR isnt either.
Where are funeral party? They're tbc on the efests lineup but nowhere on the poster.
And isn't it slightly suspicious that all the likely rumours are on there? It never happens that we guess every band playing correctly.
While I know it is very possible that's true, I don't think you should all just take it as a guarantee just because it's a photo of something printed on some glossy paper.

will rebecca black play first on main at leeds and then drive down to reading to play last? It would just be wrong if she did leeds on saturday or sunday

the offspring confirmed that they arnt doing anything till 2011 if i read correctly. so they won't be at reading.
may pick up a cheap ticket a week before as its literally a five minute walk from my house but its ATP again for me this year.

dude. if MCR are headlining the contracts and bookings would have been sorted out ages ago, he can't really change his mind now...

I'm still very sceptical about mcr headlining now they're doing T. Melvin's just going to sound stupid if he makes a cocky statement about how the headliners are great because they're not headlining any other UK festivals when, while that is true, they are playing others. I think people are placing too much emphasis on his choice of wording 'headlining'.

An awful lot of slating directed at Leeds from the reading crowd when there has been no provocation from the Leeds lot. You all seem bitter for some reason. I hope you enjoy 25 minutes of promo from Green Day, I'll spare a thought for you while I'm enjoying myself till the early hours of the morning at Leeds because, you know, we actually have something to do other than sitting bored around a fire.
