How have i become so cynical and bitter at the mere age of 21?

Sounds like a good idea in theory... I don't like carrying round things at festivals which will cost a lot me to replace if they're nicked (like driving licences).
Quite embarassing being 24 and still getting ID'd though

His excuse was that the crowd that go to Reading and Leeds are younger and some may not have photo ID.

My boyfirend dragged me along to see them on Saturday at Proud, they were amazing and I'm now a wee bit addicted! Really hope they play Reading.

Weezer and Cold War Kids would be good.
Hoping they start announcing some of the smaller stuff soon, I'm really hoping to see Fight Like Apes and Johnny Foreigner...
Main stage lineup is ok so far, but I dislike main stages in general because to get a decent view you also have to be trampled. Which is fun at first but by Sunday isn't worth the pain a your bruises get bruises... Or am I just a wuss?

Well so long as I can take my Trangia, then I can make my life-saving coffee in the mornings... may even attempt fry-ups this year if I can be bothered to take the supplies.

I'd agree with all the general festival advice! And also (having been at Glastonbury the year it flooded out) I tend to avoid camping in really low areas, but doubt Reading will ever get that wet... I'd also add alcohol hand gel to the stuff you bring, when you see what the toilets are like you'll want something stronger than babywipes before you eat!!
I'm new to Reading though, anyone got any advice on which campsites are best if you want to have fun without your tent being set alight?

I've only been to Reading once, and just for the day (I'm usually a T in the Park girl), so was wondering if any of you Reading veterans could tell me anything about the different campsites? Which ones are most fun, most likely to involve your tent being burnt to the ground, a million miles from the Arena, etc...

Good. About time. People can use fire blocks or trangias.

They used to run buses back to London at stupid o clock in the morning, your mates might be able to get one of those if they still run? You get very odd looks wandering round the west end at 5am covered in mud though...
