  1. Has anyone pulled out of that slot? If not, it does seem like a special guest. The times have been taken down now so it's subject to change I guess, or maybe they've realised people have picked up on it and don't want people to realise?

Seems to be at Leeds only from what I can tell, so a northern band I'd guess... Arctics? Kaisers again? Hopefully not The Enemy or The Courteeners or something.

Edit: Looks like Fools Gold are in that gap on the Reading lineup but not on the Leeds lineup. Fools Gold still have Leeds on their myspace so maybe just a mistake?

  2. Direct quote from official leeds board

"I have a few friends out side HMV in leeds right now and they just said that K! Radio have been around interviewing the crowd.

According to K! Radio there set to headline."

so there is now the sun, the guardian, mtv, punktastic, k! radio all suggesting there headlining there is no doubt they almost 100% to be playing but can all of theese be wrong about them headlining ? if they did i think arcade fire would headline the tent

  3. Sorry if this has already been covered in the other thread. Kids in glass houses said on radio 1 live lounge they will be playing at "Every festival," adding, "anything with festival after it." surely this could be classed as self confirmation for leeds included, making the comment by the band regarding "arcade fire are headlining the nme stage" slightly stronger not that i'm suggesting because there ARE playing that they defiantly know.

  4. Leeds and V never share the same acts, have a look at last year's lineups and find me just one band that played both...you won't be able to. Death Cab play bigger venues than Enter Shikari when they tour over here, here in Manchester they sold out the Apollo last time they were over, whereas Enter Shikari failed to do so at the smaller Academy; they've also sub-headlined Latitude in the past. I'm not sure what you're referring to with regards to Gorillaz; is that the warm-up tour they're doing? All bands play small venues with lower ticket prices on warm-up tours; not a musical example but Peter Kay has played a few warm-up shows at a tiny theatre in my local town over the last couple of weeks and tickets were £15, but he's sold out 30 nights at the MEN Arena, as well as at least five each at every other major arena in the country, at £40 a ticket. I know Gorillaz are playing the Roundhouse in London and tickets are £45 there, plus they're headlining Coachella in the States and that is a major festival.
  5. Paul Weller and Florence are at V, QOTSA and TCV wouldn't be able to both play unless they cloned Josh Homme, Gorillaz are too big for the NME (their stage setup means they'd probably have to headline the main stage), Blood Red Shoes and Two Door Cinema Club aren't big enough to be mentioned on the initial poster, I can't see Julian Casablancas playing below The Temper Trap and if Death Cab for Cutie are ever billed lower than Enter Shikari, I'll probably top myself.
  6. I have heard nothing about Arcade Fire at all. I have been explicity told not to give any information out about my source, they could get caught out very easily if i say anything.

As i said before, the headliners i revealed to you, are headlining the main stage.

I cannot comment on whether the other bands mentioned are playing but i can say for certain that Guns n Roses, Blink 182 and The Libertines are headlining the Main Stage

  7. Unless he's gone back and edited his old posts from previous years since he started this thread yesterday and removed the bit where he explicitly says what his source is, the same info is available to you if you read things more closely.

I've not said whether he works at TM or not, just that his info isn't from there - because he says where it's from.
