Was just on the Belle & Sebastian website, and it would appear they are planning to play festivals this summer! I think they could definitely headline the Saturday night, classic Scottish band, family friendly, big back catalogue etc. This would make my festival!

Manics would be amazing, i know lots of people who would buy tickets just to see them. The other very vague possibility for me would be Biffy Clyro, but they're maybe a bit big... I have a feeling the Twlight Sad might headline the hothouse tent, maybe on the saturday, a la british sea power. Doves are a very good call, i always thought maybe fleet foxes might headline? other suggestions maybe friendly fires, animal collective, franz ferdinand, foals maybe. also would LOVE to see los campesinos!

Reading the Doves thread, it appears there's going to be a worrying amount of people turning up on the Friday night to see them. Which got me wondering, what are the capacities of each stage? Does anyone know?

Well because I'm Scottish, the Thursday of Glasto is my last day, and thats prize giving anyway
But loads of people take days off to go on holiday, so why shouldn't I :L Worst case scenario, i get my music teacher to back my point up to my guidance teacher, who will probably be quite happy for me to go anyway

Seen the dykeenies twice, and their performance can be brilliant. In reply to somones comment about them at rockness, I think you'd agree that it was mostly because they'd been given a massive stage, and the crowd were probably the worst I've ever seen. Ever. But seen them since at a smaller venue and it was good
I think they may play glasto, and I would go is it didn't clash with anyone else -
Well this is one of those situations that if you persist, you will manage to get a ticket.
i managed to get a ticket for a sold out killers gig on the night, and the same applied to a newton faulkner and a kaiser chiefs gig, just keep asking, somthing is bound to come up.

Hoped they'd play, going to see them @ Aberdeen music hall aswell, which has a standing area of about 700, which will be nice compared to the other stage which they will probably be on

The rumours page is for rumours, and its pretty inaccurate (i.e Fleetwood Mac)
this is just to make clear who we know is going to play and what is just TBC on the rumour list due to a lot of speculation.
And SFA were confirmed in another thread werent they :S:( sorry if I'm wrong :L

I like the idea of that welsh stage, so how about a scottish stage aswell? an open air stage, but not too big, a bit like the park maybe, with a sloping bit to lie down and relax on and then a flat bit? And it would have a big scotland flag backdrop, made of out lightbulbs
it would also start later, around 6:00, and run til whenever :LFriday:
