Not my screen shot (got it off twitter). But that's what I saw for the duration

Thanks. Thats similar to what I saw for the duration. There was a longer version posted some time yesterday. Not that it matters, was just wondering whether I even got the right holding page

  2. Not even a sniff. I got the grey holding page for about 50% of the time via WiFi but very rarely through 4G.

Congratulations to everyone that managed to get through and secure tickets. I miss the old days :(

I’d say most of the comments about browsers are annecdotal. Better to use multiple browsers with one tab on each.

my opinion though IE sucks ass. chrome will eat all your ram so only use it if you’ve got a half decent computer or just using one browser.

    Much appreciated. Best of luck

  4. I’m getting nervous.

First time trying to get tickets since 2009, when it was a damn sight easier! Fingers crossed that the kids leave me in peace for half an hour as I bash f5.

Best of luck to everyone trying tomorrow morning.

I think it’s just down to whether or not you refresh right at that magic moment...no skill, no strategy...just pure luck of the draw.

Thanks, and to Simsy too. 9:30 was an arbitrary ‘later’ time but I take your point.

  6. Hi all, I posted here briefly in 2009 before my last visit to Glastonbury. Have unexpectedly been given the green light to attend for 5th time - if I manage to get tickets.

Buzzing for it even though tickets are apparently a nightmare to get these days. Fingers crossed.

  7. i think its actually never been sold out...so you can wait quite a bit with deciding on any ticket purchases, especially if you´re not gonna need a camping ticket. line up´s late this year...i think they always had something on the site at the beginning of the year. but the site deisgn hasn´t changed either (they have a theme design every year which is also cool...makes it all tad more unique in my opinion)

just keep looking sort of once a week...or get on their mailing list, they don´t send any unwanted spam

p.s. i´m not any kind of festival-visitor-recruiter :P i just really think that rock en seine is a great festival and well organised, i´m going to leeds for the first time this year, so if you have any tips for that, that would be great

  8. Thanks very much for the reply Operator !

It sounds like a great festival, very different to ones like Glastonbury and T in the Park that I'm used to. To be honest I like the idea of staying in a hotel and getting the metro in/out. well, my girlfriend likes that idea more than I do :P

any idea when the line-up becomes available, or when tickets are likely to sell out?

  9. Hi folks,

my girlfriend and I are thinking of going over to Paris in August and I've noticed that the Rock en Seine festival is on towards the end of the month.

Has anyone been to this before and can anyone give tips about what it's like, how easy it is to get to?? Is it better to camp or is it easy enough to get the metro back into the city centre afterwards?

    any advice gratefully received

    cheers, Dave

  10. they were brilliant in 2005 on the pyramid, totally hilarious

last couple of albums havent been that great but I'd still love to see them at glastonbury again, perhaps on the other stage

  11. my girlfriend and I had sat in a queue on the A39 for about 4 hours this year, moving at about 50 yards every 20 minutes. eventually i had had enough and turned off down a wee farm track

within 20 minutes we were on site, we met no other cars on the way and the scenery was amazing. i later heard that it took folk an extra 9 hours to get on site from where we left the main road. what a nightmare that mustve been

sceneic routes all the way next year, if we decide to go

  12. I thought Kasabian were rubbish at Glastonbury this year.

Only went along as a mate I met up with was desperate to see them, was bored for their entire set until some lassie behind us tried to pour her wine all over my girlfriends head. that was the most entertainment we got out of the entire 4 hours or whatever it seemed like Kasabian were on for

no atmosphere, no tunes worthy of the name, no point in booking them again

  13. i listened to the radio quite a bit the morning after MJ had died and there were loads of 'glasto in mourning' stories

now i love Michael Jackson but I didnt see or hear one single tribute to him, or even any kind of rememberance. which is totally fair enough, i dont think MJ and Glasto would really have got on well together
