Blimey, what do you wear on your feet that results in you not feeling your toe for 6 months?

Walking around wet and muddy fields in Somerset for 5 days in £10 wellies usually  makes it happen, I'm pretty sure from reading posts on here in the past I'm not the only one to get it?

  2. Anyone else got this? Can't feel big toe at all.  To be fair it's not as bad as previous years due to the fact I've not been wearing wellies 24/7.  It normally takes around 6 months to shift

Am I the only person that thinks this is an absolutely pointless exercise, designed to create the illusion of making everybody safer but in reality just going to make Wednesday a nightmare for everybody involved?

Yes, making sure nobody brings in anything to harm other festival goers is pointless!!

    Hi all,

I don't normally leave the safe confines of the Glastonbury sub-forum but for the last could of years we've been to Penn Festival. It's a great little festival which has a slightly odd mix of retro indie and dancey acts (with some new stuff thrown in). Last year they had Ocean Colour Scene,  Del La Soul, Dizzee Rascal etc and this year they've actually booked some fairly big acts like Primal Scream and The Charlatans.

Anybody else been to this or thinking of going this year?

Primal Scream were unbelievable at Common People (Oxford) last year.....you are in for a treat, this year the Common People organisers have completely ruined the good work they put in last year by coming up with a shockingly bad line up

The Sun is making a thing out of Liam Gallagher being UK exclusive at R+L. I hope Reading and Leeds don't include that in their announcement tomorrow if it's just gonna be wrong a few weeks later - getting kinda silly with that now.

Festival exclusives are getting embarrassing now......its just a false statement to make people buy tickets for a festival.  Foals were a UK exclusive at Citadel festival then a few weeks later they are confirmed for the Eden Sessions

Definitely a good line-up for me.

Biffy, Courteeners (don't stone me for it), Katy Perry (curiousity, and she's got a cracking stage presence :P), Phoenix, Goldfrapp, Wild Beasts, Craig David, Circa Waves and Temples on there which catch my eye.

Will possibly hit Foos and Radiohead if there's nothing which catches my eye.

Can't wait for Katy Perry will definatley watch her and then pop back to my tent for a bit of "me time"

  7. Enough is enough for any festival when ticket sales drop due to price increases, in my opinion Glastonbury could put the price up every year but people will always want tickets.....simple supply and demand

Glastonbury lineup announcements is the number 1 cause in anxiety globally. It beat Brexit, Trump, and the rising price of Freddo's.

    Just wait and see, people.

For me Glastonbury Eve makes me more anxious than anything else, I work at the Festival so a ticket isn't an issue, I worry about am I taking enough beer/other supplies for the 7 days, will we break down/get stopped on the way, will we have any idiots camped next to us etc etc......of course all this worry ends when you've set your tent up, sit back, relax and know you've got a week of doing what you want, when you want

Anyway, is Pete Tong even doing this in the summer? I thought it was November / December. The Hacienda one is in the summer and not booked elsewhere on Glastonbury weekend.

    I did both 2007 and 2016. I found 2016 way worse.

2007 was certainly a wet year but I coped well with it. It wasn't a fucking nightmare trying to walk anywhere.

2016 was dryer, but the mud was sticky - you couldn't just power walk through it, it would come up nearly to your knees either side of the metal trackways. Some food stands were completely inaccessible. I found it a massive pain in the arse.

2007 in my opinion was far worse!! Was constant from the Friday morning, if you think 2016 was worse then it just means you are going soft

stormzy is a current grime artist. he has just released a new album to critical acclaim, it's expected to go straight to number 1. it infuses grime with gospel and other genres. it's good you should give it a listen. but like another said, he is VERY big at the moment and you'd struggle to find a spot to slot him into.

Cheers for the info....will have a listen

Really hoping a festival over here have bagged MGMT. I know they're not the greatest live for a casual fan but they're one of my favourite bands so the songs are enough even if the band lack energy.

Saw them at twice at Glastonbury, 1st time early evening slot on Other Stage and that was awful.  The 2nd time headlining John Peel Stage a few years back, really enjoyed it as it seemed everyone around me did too

Yup, and I only decided to see them on the day, ended up being one of my highlights of the festival.

Been to every Glastonbury since the washout of 2007, have to say this would easily be in my top 10 performances, thought they would be good but didn't realise how amazing it would be

I dunno really. They were devastatingly huge on the last release and it was speculated that this next album would be the kingmaker type deal where they became a properly massive band, so could sub Glasto on their way to headlining festivals. But as it goes they're announcing festivals and shows with no news on forthcoming albums or songs or anything so it's hard to gauge. They could be playing the long game like The 1975 are doing or going massive then going immediately home like The Fratellis.

Please dont mention The 1975 on a Royal Blood thread.....in fact please do not mention The 1975 at all.....walked past them when they last played Glastonbury and I'm still not over it, that's the stuff of nightmares
