  1. I know I'm a little late to the discussion but surely we're hearing so much about it because in the early stages it looked like it was a particularly aggressive strain capable of killing young, otherwise healthy people. That now looks like it's not the case, which I think is something to be very relieved about.
  2. Bullying, bad bahaviour and ill will are obviously all about tone and language.

Given some of the language used its absolutley clear that the OP has been subject to ill will and this may well have gone as far as bullying. Calling someone insane does not contribute to any form of sensible debate. To dress it up as 'opinion' is disingenuous.

It is possible to disagree with someone without ridiculing them. It's nothing to do with stifling or limiting discussion and everything to do with encouraging balanced, reasonable, fair expression.

A couple of people have sensed a soft target and have waded in with stronger terms than are justified.

    Just an opinion.

  3. :(:lol::):D

How the f**k have I got "nasty". I've commented on your comments. If you're allowed your comments I'm similarly allowed to comment on your comments.

Yes, I'm not happy with some of the human element at Glastonbury. Then again, I'm far less happy with the human element outside of Glastonbury. Short of shooting all the w*nkers what can be done? ;);)

Glastonbury says VERY clearly how they'd like their customers to act in regard to litter and the like - LEAVE NO TRACE. Short of each punter having a security person standing over them with a big stick, there's little more that the festival can do.

If you want to get involved to perhaps (and it is only a 'perhaps') change things for the better then the only way to do so will be for you to personally intervene each time you see someone doing something outside of the 'leave no trace' rule, to try and convince people to abide by it. Just don't go posting your disappointment about the numbers of times you'll fail with this. ;)

  4. The more I think about this, the more apalled I am by your attitude. Just totally unconstructive, ungrateful and childish. This isn't a large commercial festival run by a beer company to make money, this is a little old man on his farm donating loads of money to charity and putting on the greatest festival on earth.

Then we get some f**king cryer trying to get people to walk out on it due to whinges about toilets, If you want to contribute, email the organisers some suggestions as to how you feel these issues could be addressed. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to take them on board.

  5. I dont think its a case of someone wanting to get their own way, unfortunately many many people have a total disregard for other people, whether it be their property or the people themselves.

I am the laziest person you are likely to meet, but would never go to someones home and dump my waste (any of it if we want to pick holes) on their property, why cant others do as I and many others do and leave no trace? It's so easy and no I am no smug bastard I just wouldnt disrespect someone elses home.

There were 21 people camped within our group...we left no trace...

With regard to the other allegations there is PLENTY of proof and Kyjenni will not be taking on the task of addressing these issues alone.

I am normally a "head in sand" kind of person too, but sometimes you have to stand up and try to be heard.

Lets not make this thread a nasty one, theres enough of that in the big bad world, instead why dont YOU ask what YOU can do to help.

    Much Love x

  6. Kyjenni IS talking to the people that matter, and as I have already told you Kyjenni I will help in any way I can but I wont be boycotting next year x

Edited to suit (the message was to Kyjenni who already knew my intentions)

  7. I've been hearing all about this and many other horror stories surrounding our precious festival. If I find out they're true then my god I'm going to kick up a fuss! I could have had 5 girl guide troups down there packing up tents, they could have swept the site and had them all up on eBay raising money for charity before the sun had set. What an absolute joke, if Glastonbury doesn't do something to sort it out for next year then I'm not going! I only left the site yesterday after speaking to a number of people there and finding out how the site works. Right now I'm very disappointed and I'm going to be speaking to people over the coming week to find out if the stories are true.

The litter pickers are the most amazing people and are doing a brilliant job right now but are currently being treated like absolute garbage.

    Grrrrrrrrrr I'm not happy!

I was happy at this moment though, check out the smile on his face! Michael Eavis has got fantastic legs - FACT. And when this spills from your mouth when he turns around he will hug you while you gibber like an idiot. Legend.

  8. I just want to say....YOU'RE NOT SINGING ANYYYYYYYYYYMOREEEEEEEEEEEEEE

(I lied...thanks to everyone for a wonderful time...wish we'd had time to train...although I did enjoy annoying some of the England fans :()

  9. Well fellow Glastobaters, may I wish you all very safe journeys to the site, we; my family and I (how posh!), will be leaving as soon after breakfast as we can for our journey to Glastonbury town. I am shattered, but know all this hardwork and preparation will be worth it.

I really hope to meet a few of you over the coming week, but before the Big G starts, could you all raise a glass in toast (about 6pm) to our wonderful friends who will be wed in Glastonbury town on Tuesday!

    To Darren and Sara! <_<

Much love to you all....see you on the G Side xxxxxx

  10. The last pills i did turned out to be ket...which i didnt feel anything off until i'd taken 3 in a short space of time (being impatient as i am) and then WHAM i was absolutely, unexpectedly, horrifically f**ked in the middle of a busy bristol club on a gatecrasher night.

I've done ket before and liked it but because i wasnt expecting it, it was horrible!!! I was trying to dance but kept falling into people and kept snapping to reality of me doing stupid things like rubbing my face againt a pillar, eventually my boyfriend at the time (who was a state aswell thanks to the ket pills) sat me down at the back of the club where we sat in a k hole for hours and missed the whole night. GUTTED!!!

It was my 23rd birthday and we had travelled nearly two hours to be there and we really looking forward to it and ended up missing the lot. And i spent the rest of the night with kidney pains and kept having to force myself to the toilet every 20 minutes. AWFUL. Never ever again. And for me, definately not at glastonbury!! It puts you in a vulnerable state if you havent got trustworthy people around you looking after you. And i havent bought pills in a club since then either, it taught me to be more careful with what i'm taking!

  11. They're going to be doing an intimate show on a hidden stage inside one of the exclusive Tipis in the Tipi fields. It will be sometime on the Saturday. Times can't be given out as there would be too many people trying to crowd in to the Tipi. I suggest you spend the Saturday searching Tipis until you find them.
