  1. The years they all mix into one, rain or sun, its all hazey for me. lol. Yes it must have been 2008, don't think I bothered with any fancy dress with the mud of '07. Good times every year, can't wait for this years antics. :girlhaha:

  2. Hi

We drove down from Halifax, can't remember what time we set off but got there about two on weds. We got straight in the que, sat in our chairs under our sleeping bags, it was freezing. The que was not from the gate but from the bottom corner of the carpark, it started to move about half seven, it was hard work as it was up hill and slippy n muddy in places on the way up. The bonus was that we were in and the tents were up by about 8.20am weds morning before it chucked it down so it was worth getting in the que.

my advice if you're going on Tuesday night is to get there early, get in the que asap and just hope it doesn't rain. Good luck.

Just take your bag along, you will give them your name and postcode and they will write it in a book along with a description of the item/bag.

They will give you a ticket with a number on it. Keep the ticket as you will need it to get your bag back or things out of it.

You can also hand in any valuable seperate to your other gear although I have never bothered.

  4. Whilst it's not encouraged, noone will stop you. Bear in mind it is *very* quiet after dark - chatting in hushed tones and all that. Complete opposite in the morning when the kids wake up. Generally the least likely to be affected by theft. Possibly the best English breakfasts on site at the (24 hour) Street Sub Aqua cafe at the bottom.

Handy for the Pyramid and central markets. Loos are usually in good condition (especially the lesser used ones at the top). Nice walk 'home' at night up Muddy Lane, which is back to being pedestrian only now. Or go via Acoustic and pick up a night cap at the Red Flag :P

Lots to be said for Cockmill meadow. I was elsewhere last year but still popped in for breakfast on my way down. :P

  5. Sorry if this has been asked before..................

We have been going to glasto for years and this year my brother and his family are coming too. Myself and my chap are travelling down on Tuesday/Weds and the rest on Thursday.

My Q: Would we be able to go and pitch our tent and the one for my brother and his family in the family camping area (we wont have any kids with us)?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice. :P

  6. HI all,

I have just rung See to book my coach ticket from Leeds on the Weds Morning, they say the coaches are now full - they advise that lots of pre booked coaches have been cancelled and that the organisers MAY  book another one but they don't know if this will be the case!

Any one else planning on buying a ticket or can't get one?
