  1. Can some please give me some advice please?

We missed out on tickets this year for the first time since 2004, so i thinking of making a separate registration to use for coach tickets as it will give me an extra chance in the sale, maybe using a different address, say my parents house.  My preference would be to go as normal in our car with normal tickets, so if I am extremely lucky and get two sets of tickets, we would not pay them up in April.  Can anyone see a problem with this, apart from not giving someone else the opportunity to buy them in October? (which i feel bad about)  So desperate this year after missing out!!

    Thanks

Looking at their last setlist, they played 2 songs from their first 2 albums in a 10 song set. That'd be disappointing.

The chances of us getting anything off Pinkerton would be very low anyway but I'd expect them to keep Undone in the set at least.

Seen the last 2 Brixton shows and the setlists were spot on.

Wanted to go to that so much but if i remember correctly it was pretty pricey and I couldn't justify it (in hindsight I should've just said 'fuck it' as they barely ever tour here). Saw them at Leeds '10 and they were excellent and up there with one of my favourite festival sets. Got them as third down Other in my head. Those dates don't rule them out quite as much as I initially thought, but probably still very unlikely given how little they come here.

They said at the Brixton gig last year in April 'see you at Glastonbury and Reading' - it never happened, but then i was thinking next year hopefully. Looking less likely now Reading have announced a good chunk of acts.

Unfortunately in the US either side of the festival (although a month gap between both of those dates) so unless they fancy making the trip over just for Glastonbury it's looking pretty unlikely that they'll be there :(

One of these years we'll get 'em!

Yeah I see that. They don't come over enough really. It's a shame as I think they would be bigger in the UK if they put a few mores shows in. The White Album was a great record.

They sounded great last night - Up there with Green Day as a live act (Take that for what you will as I know they get ton's of hate on here) but a lot of fun - New album not over with the audience here yet, most likely due to it only being out for a few days so those songs felt flat but when the hit's where played (Even Back To The Shack) they where phenomenal.

Rudimental headlined the Other stage last year - Weezer definitely can.

Agreed, but i think other sub would be the best they can get at the moment. I think they would be a great booking

No, he just made a lot of really bad music.

By the way, how are they live? judging by several recent YouTube videos, Rivers vocals sound quite weak... hoping it's just certain days off and that he'll sound better.

Also, they seem to randomly play the entire Pinkerton every once in a while... like Riot Fest 2015... catching one of those would be a dream.

His vocals were spot on last night!! Yes they do have some bad filler on some albums, but live they are up there with the best and can pull together a great setlist, bit like the foos.

I dunno what Rivers is playing at but they 99% aren't playing. Unless of course they are doing a Thursday lineup with Radiohead and Weezer playing, but that would literally be my dream lineup (minus TOOL) so it almost definitely won't happen.

At least Glastonbury is on their radar. I'm keeping everything crossed they either headline the Other or sub headline the main next year. The possibility of Weezer into Radiohead is real...

This is my hope!!! They have caused a bit of a stir like the pixies did many years ago. Hopefully they will end up playing in a slot similar to the pixies.

  8. Great gig last night. This is what they said exactly 'Thanks London, see you at Reading and Leeds and Glastonbury'.

I want it to be true so bad but I cant see it!!!

  9. Off to see them tomorrow at Brixton. Saw them last time at Brixton in 2010 and played a blue/pinkerton heavy set. They would be a great party band at Glastonbury but doubt they will get booked.

    1. Pinkerton

    2. Blue

    3. White

    4. Red

    5. Everything Will Be Ok In The End

    6.  Green

    7. Hurley

    8 . Raditude

    9. Make Believe

  10. Cheers for the info,

Most of our group have their tickets and there are a couple who missed out, that would like to go. The tickets belong to parents of someone I know, who live in pilton. I cant get hold of him at the moment to find out what the deal is. I dont want to get there hopes up if it is too risky.

  11. Just wandered if anyone has any info that can help a friend.

We know somebody (who knows somebody) who has local tickets but cannot attend anymore. They have a male and female ticket. Wanted to know if they have photos on them or just the names. Would it be risky trying to use these tickets??

    Cheers

  12. The Who are playing Hyde Park on the Friday. Could maybe swap with kanye though.

Not Necessarily for the who, but another act. Though without looking back, I can't think who has the Friday free apart from swifty.

  13. I wonder if they could get the foos to change the day they are playing. They are playing wretcher on the Thursday and have no gig, after Glastonbury, until the following weekend, it will also give daves voice a rest. It might free up another act then.

  14. It's not even like i was defending oasis, i wasnt there in 2004, ive heard it wasnt great. But was also Zak Starkeys first gig and the videos ive watched, the drumming is out of time and liam doesnt sound great.

But ive seen oasis, and they were brilliant. Another chance for them to make up for 2004 and they will pull it i believe. For the record i think the reports of them reforming are bullshit. and they wont play this year.

I was there and thought they were crap compered to other times ive seen them.

I dont think it was Zak's first gig as my girlfriend went to see the warm up gig for glastonbury at poole lighthouse and said they were fantastic. Just an 'off day' I think.
