  1. Fairplay this wasn't a bad little festival for Year 1, at 2500 peeps there. Nice location with the beach 5 minutes walk away. The site itself had a weird set-up, all seemed to close/probably one tent to many to close together. All happenning at the same time rather than alternating.

They ran late on 1st day and the fairly slow security checks did cause a few problems.

The quality of music wasn't the best in places and the main stage itself could have been a bit better.

I did watch you Zenyth and thought you guys were damn good, something a bit different, awesome tunes and great guitarist. As you opened on Saturday you left a hard act to follow for the acts and no-one lived upto it until the DJ set by Pendulum. Your 'Children' cover was awesome.

A lot of peeps were talking about you possibly as you guys seemed to be proactive, lots of festy goers carrying your little flyers round.

Will keep an eye on more of your progress. Well worth watching. Off to buy your EPs.

  2. Just got this off the Square Festival Website!!

    Dear Readers,

The Square festival has a hearing on June 22nd for a premises license. This is no surprise to the organisational team, as we have been working with licensing authorities for the past four months. The reason for the date being so close to the actual event is because of the difficult decisions that were made regarding what should be applied for, and amending the licence to satisfy those relevant authorities.

Over many meetings throughout the last four months, issues have been raised by the Police, environmental department and Network Rail. The Square festival has worked hard to satisfy all those concerns raised, and has been successful to date in meeting the requirements set. The final meeting is to put these concerns, and the methods by which we have dealt with them, before a panel of councillors.

We are very confident that what we have put forward will be accepted. This event has been fathomed over many days, weeks and months, and we take all such issues that music festivals create very seriously. I, Chris Dare am happy to answer any concerns that residents of Borth or others may have regarding our festival.

You may contact me on 07791-441-140 or e-mail me at TheSquareFestival@gmail.com.

I would be willing to arrange meetings face to face, if need be.

    Best regards,
