  1. We were camped right opposite them the other side of the track. (we had a red flag with a sheep on it and a just married white one underneath) It was quite daunting having to walk passed them every day, they were very loud, drunk and rude! Most nights they just shouted "C*NT" as loud as they could. It was the first time I camped at Pennards and I loved being near the park, think next year we'll go further down into though.
  2. Highs

    1. Blur.

    2. Being at the festival with my best friend, we have both being going to festivals loads but always manage to pick the ones the other doesn't, needless to say it was amazing having her there

    3. Our neighbours, happened to be the same age, despite all being from brighton one of them happened to have been out with a girl from our tiny village in Dorset and they all happened to have visited there. Have already planned for them to come see us all and have definitely met some really good friends, yet again Glasto :)

    4. Trash City Friday night, I don't even know where I ended up but was talking to some Australian guy for ages then a man serenaded me with Micheal Jackson songs which was extremely obscure and then I got a lovely phonecall from my boyfriend at 4:30am who was at home thinking of me :(

    5. Walking around by myself, never done it before and as I have no sense of direction I got very very lost, which I LOVED! Met lots of people and saw lots of things I probably wouldn't have if I was with others :]

    Lows

    1. Boyfriend not being there after having to sell his ticket for money, missed him a ridiculous amount and kept knowing how much he would of enjoyed things.

    2. Packing wellies into car Sunday morning, biggest mistake ever!

    3. Watching Blur by myself, they were amazing but I had no-one to enjoy the moment with :[

    4. Giving away all my crackers when drunk and really dying for one the next day!

    5. Monday morning leaving it all behind :)

  3. Ok I was literally camped right next to this BNP camp and oh my god what a nightmare. First of all three of them arrived and started sticking stakes in the ground in a frantic rush practically on our tent, then hanging flags from it whilst hitting my friend in the head with them and not even apologising, at the time we just thought it was strange and a bit amusing. Next thing is we see about 20 people in the campsite with a massive gap in the middle of it for them to gather around, fair enough. Then the giant 'This is England' flags go up, I suggest to my friend it may be in association with the film and they assure me I'm wrong...

next day we wake up to find they have moved their stakes into our tiny area for them to pitch another tent, despite there being a massive gap in the middle of where all there tents are, bit rude but we forget it. After that it was just their general loudness, I believe they were from Blackpool as they were on about it constantly and the fact that some of them never seemed to leave the campsite which was pretty odd. I do remember seeing their flag in the crowd at Lily Allen though and making a point to mention it to my friend when she sang her song 'f**k you' against the BNP. Other then them seemingly being unable to move from their campsite and sleep we generally didn't speak to them until I think it was Saturday morning when they shouted at us and our other neighbours 'do you know any jokes' we replied no and then they proceeded to tell us a racist joke, whilst about ten of them cracked up laughing we just stood there gawping not really knowing how to react. I especially loved the comment one of the women felt the need to say after she saw our faces 'we aint racist ya know', course luv. I believe they were given two warnings about various things, not sure what but I believe it's what resulted in the flags disappearing, I heard a northern women shouting at them on Sunday about them already having to warnings and then a lot of swearing afterwards.

I am amazed at how they acted and probably would of said something if I wasn't so scared of the burly men who seemed to reside there. I am proud to say though that at 19 years of age with three of my friends the same and our five neighbours the other side of the same age we were far more mature and intelligent than those mindless and rude people who I hope to never see at the festival again.

    Saturday night looking for tent

me:we just need to look for the massive BNP camp

random bloke:oh the BNP camp we're camped near there too, shit though I'm quite worried at being camped furtherrr right then them, that's bad isn't it.

He did seemed genuinely worried about that too

  4. My neighbours were firemaking experts and a nice cosy spot in a chair around it made for some great evenings for me, my friend, them and passing strangers who were attracted to the warmth it exuded making for some lovely conversations to be remembered.

Later in the evenings both Shangri La and Trash City became favourites for divulging in some intoxicated dancing until the sun began to rise, the lights, music, people and sometimes the metal sculptures made the places seem out of this world and I had a lot of fun there.

On the Wednesday when my friend and I had mulled around the various areas getting our bearings we ended up walking up the hill at the back of Pennards which was a rather wobbly state of affairs, due to both the cider and its steepness. We settled ourselves next to everyone else who all had a smile on their faces and were enjoying eachothers company and we looked out at the site at how huge it was and how we were a tiny part of it. It looked amazing and the sun set whilst we watched, the start to the festival being that beautiful could indeed make it my favourite area but of course I'm indecisive, It's Glastonbury, anywhere at any point could become my favourite Glastonbury area.

  5. Made a Massive Mistake here!! Walked through the Rain up to the Silent Disco in the Park on Thurs. Got in and was having a buzz until I realised Yoda was not going to show up.................It was only the next day when in the Dance Area did I notice the Silent World...........Nearly started to cry :D Lucky I saw him a few weeks ago in Dublin but was really looking forward to it!! Anyone else make this school boy error??
  6. have to say i loved the bassline circus and not really sure which ones but i went to a few bars in Shangri La and found all the staff friendly and efficient

  7. What book are you currently reading? "The Communist Manifesto"-Karl Marx

Last book read? "Riddley Walker" by Russell Hoban-about a post-apocalyptic world in which a boy takes a journey around a place which is suggestively the future England (just Kent). All about government propaganda, maturity, science vs nature themes. Just studied it for English Literature A-level think it's a really interesting if sometimes difficult book (it is written in a fractured english language with play on words and phonetics) it would be compared with "A Clockwork Orange" and "1984" type novels.

    Favourite author? currently, James Frey

Favourite book? "A Million Little Pieces", "To Kill A Mockingbird", "A Brave New World" and "We Need To Talk About Kevin" at the moment

Cant read? Science fiction and fantasy often bores me stupid

  8. This is excellent haha just read the whole thing

    574876598_1f5de3211b.jpg

my teachers have interestingly placed this picture enlarged in one area of our school replacing every single head with one of the teaching staff's it really creeps me out and makes me wonder why they would do it...

  9. A couple more of my cat, why do cats insist on trying to sleep in boxes that are obviously far too small for them? :D

yes to this, my cat used to sleep in a box which was right next to her basket...silly thing!

  10. three giant african land snails

    Gordon, Norman and Harold Bishop

Gordons over a year old, the other two are just likkle babies :)

what perfect names. My friend's little brother had Giant African land snails, two, he ended up with a lot of snail babies which was a bit of disaster!

  11. Yeah I like gerbils, I'm after something a bit bigger that recognises me as another being though. A gerbil just wanders all over you shitting and pissing itself as it goes

    The scruffy mutt from storyteller:

    storyteller1.jpg

aha yeah my gerbils just dug tunnels in their sawdust all night and slept in them all day!

That is definitely Honey haha, i feel bad she's a girl but has a beard, poor confused dog!

  12. Honey is cute, she reminds me of the dog from the Storyteller series which was on years ago if you remember it?

I looked into getting ferrits but I found them to be a bit smelly for my liking. I don't know anything about keeping hedgehogs as pets.

I do not remember this storyteller series but if it looked like a scruffy mutt then i'm sure it bares a resemblance!

Ferrets i've had before have never smelt bad but maybe i was lucky lol, when they swim it's really cute though that's what sold them to me ha. Looking after domestic hedgehogs is quite easy, you can buy earthworms from pet shops to give them and you can keep them in an outdoor hutch or indoors in a cage type thing but they're quite good at escaping, of course you can just go to a vet and they'd give you all the advice you need or even the petshop you buy one from, also good because they hibernate. Also gerbils are a good little things and lots of fun but need a lot of sawdust so they can build tunnels!
